There should not be a federal ban on homosexual marriage anymore than there should be a federal ban on banning abortions. It is a question of State's Rights.

The founders of our republic were wise, and they knew that the Federal Government had to have it's powers limited.

If we give the Federal Govenment power to legislate things like marriage, they will eventually use that power for evil, just like Galadrial rejected the one ring from Frodo.

Those who support a Federal ban on homosexual marriage are foolish, and have no understanding of human nature, nor of the political thought that went into the founding of this Republic.

For punishment I kick over a bunch of beehives and make my kids stand there.

United states has signed a 2 year contract with Israel so we can get oil from Israel.

So what? I could name a dozen dictators still in power who have acted the same way. Should we invade them too?
111  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Who is the Biggest enemy in the world? on: October 23, 2004, 11:11:20 AM
There was an early split in the ranks of top Communists. Stalin one the one hand wanted to consolidate the winnings of the movement, and the Jewish Trotsky wanted to expand the Revolution until it took over everything. Stalin won, had Trotsky murdered, but some of his disciples became active in the US. This is the reason that we are engaged in "nation building" right now in the Mideast, it is part of the Trotskyite philosophy of violently forcing others to accept your political system.

"If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no."

Neither case is honorable.

Outside of Satan, the biggest threat to the world today are the neocons, a group of a few dozen people, mostly of Eastern Jewish Trotskyite background who are running American foreign policy. They are socially liberal, e.g. they are in favor of large scale third world immigration, abortion, etc..and have a particular hatred of traditional American Christian conservatives, e.g. their attack on Trent Lott when he praised Strom Thurmond.

To learn more about them, you can use keywords like "architect" "Iraq" "war" at google.

To answer the question of the thread tital, the price of gas is the highest ever, terrorism has increased by 100 percent every year since the invasion and America is hated by more people than ever in our history.

Perhaps someone will give an example of a material benefit to the US brought about by this war?

Not all people do what WMD's are capable of.  Saddam however did, more than once.

Grace and Peace!

What does that mean?

Right?? So, is this your apology for your lies all over the forum?

Something is a lie only when the motive is wrong. The person who said yesterday that the 3 million Polish Jews weren't part of the 6 million total holocaust victims wasn't lying. This is pretty basic stuff. We both made inaccurate statements based on what we believed to be the truth.

ok, i always wondered why the british, having such large reserves (i.e. the indian military reserves were in the millions i am told) were so ineffective...

Their military doctrine was outdated. During the last German offensive of WW1, Von Ludendorf picked the British to attack as the French were too tough. There is a book called Stormtroop Tactics that deals with the subject.

Also, the British have a history of playing people off against each other.

I see a tear roll down my husband's cheek and he
grabs my son to his chest and hugs him tight, and cries..."It's too late to fight him, he's too strong and he's already at YOUR front door son.....you should have stopped him BEFORE he killed his wife. You have to do what's right, even if you have to do it alone, before......it's too late." my husband whispers.

This is a typical appeal to under educated, easily led people. The idea that a third world nation of 26 million like Iraq was a threat to the US is laughable.
119  Fellowship / For Men Only / Re:The Kobe Bryant case. on: October 22, 2004, 07:30:01 PM
The sin is adultry on Kobe's side, but since she isn't married or engaged it's a financial penalty, not the death penalty in the Bible. If the reports of her sexual behavior are true (towards Kobe before the encounter and with other men), it would be more a question of non-payment to a whore than anything else.
120  Fellowship / For Men Only / Re:Sexual Immorality on: October 22, 2004, 07:26:44 PM
Luther said that when birds fly over your head, it is not a sin, it's just when they start making nests in your hair.....
