136  Theology / Debate / Re:Over 13,000 Civilians Killed in Iraq on: October 22, 2004, 01:53:47 PM

These totals do not include the 6 million Jews who perished in the Final Solution of Nazi Germany or the 17 million dead as a result of Japan's policies in Asia from 1931 to 1945.

Most of the Jewish dead are indeed included, see the Polish figure.

I doubt that many Calvinists will vote for either, I wont be.

Is that all you got out of that?

The question was of justifying this war, so yes.

It is not American money that is doing it. It is Iraq oil that is paying for it. The U. S. just took that money out of the hands of a ruthless tyrant and putt it into the hands of its people.

Well, that was the theory going in, but is hasn't worked out that way, and you are the only one I've spoken to that hasn't realised it.

The point was in how the Iraqee people are benefiting from this.

The point had nothing to do with justifying an invasion, did it.

Brother, thanks for sharing this with us. I've recently heard blatant and bold lies from the mouth of Kerry. The man has no morals or ethics and will do literally anything to get elected.

Another sad fact is the liberal mainstream media that has made it painfully clear they will also do anything to get the Christian out of the White House.

There doesn't seem to be any difference between the candidate in the first paragraph, and as for the second, FOX is mainstream, and is very Republican. MSNBC is slightly left, but is probably the most balanced of the big media outlets.

As far as whether Bush and/or Kerry is a Christian, I'll not judge, but the people running our foreign policy, the neocons, don't even claim to be Christian. Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith, etc.. are Jewish. Which isn't necesarily wrong, but it just shows we need to look at the big picture when deciding on who to vote for, or whether to abstain from this coming election.

It would seem that sincereheart thinks that refurbishing Mosques and giving American money to foreigners is a valid justification for going to war.
