I heartily agree with you DW....

I currently am using AVG (and have installed it for many friends/family in the past year), prior to that I used Trend PC-cillan. I find both to be waaaay better (less problematic, that is) than Norton.

Dan 12:2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
63  Theology / General Theology / Re:Do members of the "Body of Christ" have Guardian Angels? on: August 14, 2004, 05:32:31 AM
...I have seen angels.

It doesn't mean I worship them (nor did they speak to me.)

Guardian angels? Yes, I believe so:

Act 5:19  But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,...

Act 12:7  And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the8 side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Mat 18:10  Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 10:4 tells us that the "weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds." They are not carnal (fleshly), but spiritual, for we do not fight against flesh and blood. Our weapon is spiritual. It is the Word of God.

I don't believe that one should rely on a guardian angel though...the Word of God is our armour and is sharper than any two edged sword, and is our first defense, our best offense and should definitely come first. But, are not angels spiritual beings? Did God not create them different from man...is it not God who orders the angels...who sends them at His will?

Heb 13:2  Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Hi grommie, here's a little info:

The first link refers to a conflict between S32EVNT1.DLL and SYMEVENT.SYS. This appears to be a conflict betwen the .dll file and the system file. Have you recently done a live update with Norton? It is apparently known for these problems.

The problems discussed on these sites may not be exactly the same, but they should give you an idea of how to correct your problem or where to go for answers.

http://answers.tveasy.co.uk/m.p.w.general/S32EVNT1DLL-Sdnmem.htm
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=239415

ctfmon is a system that monitors the "windows" on your desktop. It is part of the windows programming and may be in a protected file. See here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=282599

Don't reinstall anything from Norton until you go and check on it first. Sometimes doing a reinstall over the old stuff (Norton) can cause even more problems. Go to the Symantec website and check on how to correct your current problems before you try a reinstall. If you need to reinstall it's probably better to "uninstall" (clean the registry too, if you know how), then reinstall fresh.

I hope some of that helps.

You need a software prouct.... those burners/dvds at the NEC site come bundled with roxio products, but I'm pretty sure nero (AheadNero) will do the same thing. Don't know what the dvd is on our laptop, but it uses Nero.

Sorry BL, it wasn't about forgiveness perse, but that he does say that we are not "baptized in the spirit" (unless I misunderstood one of the posts, in which case, forgive me) today...makes it kinda hard to be given the heart of Christ, or at least to behave as if we have the heard of Christ.

http://forums.christiansunite.com/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=4705

I should have made the statement a little clearer.... and this thread really is about forgiveness, not about stam, so I should never have brought it up.

Forgiveness comes from the heart of Christ. If we are His, then we have the heart he has given us (regardless of what C.R. Stam says).

Forgiveness is as much for our sake, as for the sake of the wrongdoer.

"forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us"

The line from the Lord's prayer constantly reminds me: I am always asking God for forgiveness for something and He never fails to forgive, He is always faithful and loving; it would be shameless if I couldn't at least forgive someone else....I do not have to give my only child to offer forgiveness. God has done so much more for me.

It means going on as though the incident never happened - a tough thing, but with God all things are possible.

The words aren't that important when prayer and the spirit of Christ enter into the forgiveness.

69  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:how to pray question on: August 12, 2004, 04:50:12 AM
Since Jesus is God, I don't see the problem...

I often go through my day having ordinary conversations with God, or speaking with Jesus. To me, they are the same being...the Father and the Son, two parts of the trinity.

Personally, I hate keychanges in the middle of a song, unless of course the song is written that way. Taking a song and adding the keychange makes me NUTS. Mostly because the key change is usually up, and I can't go any higher in a lot of songs. Aslo, from my experience, with the key change comes a tempo change and to be frank, I kind'a like to breathe every now and then between words, lol.

This is one of my favourite songs, from a probably unknown artist (Deborah Bowman) - the link opens the song

I didn't find it too long.....but it was strange.

The whole time I was filling it out I felt as though I was doing a survey for the Bush campaign.

Re:When does life begin?

When did God begin?

Life begins at conception: the conception of the human, or the conception of humans in the mind of God?

As for birth control, I never took any because it wasn't right (for me, anyway-I don't know for anyone else).

I would say, though, that even if you take it, it would only prevent "accidental" birth....those that God has planned for you (if any) would happen anyway, birth control or not.

Did Sarah not have a barren womb and God filled it?

I have been enjoying the thread on the spiritual gifts, and the bible study. I won't get involved in US election debates though   Grin.

Keep lovin & praisin....
