Hi All

Hows things?

Hi Rookie. It's a bit quiet here tonight. Normal for a Weds day night.

I understand what you mean. I wouldn't be here on a Weds night either if I were able.

Nope. The church is a long way from here and my handicap does not allow me to travel that far or to sit in church for long. One trip to church puts me in bed for a week.

Not good, What is your handicap? If you don't mind me asking.

Sounds like a bad back

Not a nice mix.......

a site like this makes a nice outlet though.

My wife has fibromyalgia as well. I know from the pain she lives with that it is a challange. Can't imagine the whole mix.

The Gulf War Illness is similar to Fibromyalgia so that is why the Drs gave it that diagnosis however there are many more problems that are connected to it besides the normal FMS symptoms. For one thing I have a hypersensitivity to drugs so there are few that I can take for the pain with it. There is also nerve ending damage that causes a delay in pain but at the same time an increase in pain.

Yes it is not a good mix. I need to exercise for heart condition but the exercise puts me down to where I can't get out of bed. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining though. The good Lord has kept me going where others are in a wheel chair all of the time or dead. A friend of mine has the Gulf War Illness and he can't get out of his wheelchair at all and does not have the strength to lift a 12 oz soda for a drink.

I can still lift my coffee cup and it isn't a small cup. I can even lift a full coffee pot.   Wink Grin Grin Grin    I still drive my car for very short distances.   I can also hold my grandkids something my friend is not able to do. So I feel tremendously blessed. The Lord is indeed being good to me.
