AMEN SINCEREHEART!
Sister, Christians are definitely involved in more and more spiritual warfare. I hope and pray that most Christians know about the attacks of the devil, especially when we try to do the work of the LORD.
In fact, being attacked by the devil should make us happy, and I know this sounds strange. If we aren't being attacked by the devil, that would mean that we aren't doing much as a Christian and child of God. We are in the world, but we are no longer of this world. Our citizenship is in Heaven, so much of the world shouldn't like us very much.
I am reflecting on the writing of the Apostle Paul about fighting a good fight and running a good race. It's hard and tiring, but that's where we find the "fullness of Joy" in this life, and that JOY in JESUS is like no other JOY this world has to offer. Now I'm thinking about another beautiful passage written by the Apostle Paul about putting on the whole armor of GOD and going forth.
And, finally, I'm thinking about a beautiful old song:
Onward Christian Soldiers
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
Forward into battle see His banners go!
Refrain
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
Brothers lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
Refrain
Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
One in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
Refrain
What the saints established that I hold for true.
What the saints believèd, that I believe too.
Long as earth endureth, men the faith will hold,
Kingdoms, nations, empires, in destruction rolled.
Refrain
Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
But the church of Jesus constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail;
We have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail.
Refrain
Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud and honor unto Christ the King,
This through countless ages men and angels sing.
Refrain
Love In Christ,
Tom
2 Peter 3:9 NASB The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
