Hello Pastor Roger,
The picture is becoming very clear. "Christ" and "Jesus" are the two most dreaded words of the ACLU and folks like them. Anything associated with these two precious words must also be stamped out. The list of objects they have tried to remove make this exceptionally obvious (i.e. Ten Commandments, manger scenes, Christmas Carols, Christmas plays, even the word "Christmas" as a holiday, and much more).
Some of the news media have labeled current events as an assault against Christmas, but it's really much more than that. It's an assault against GOD and Christians. This is becoming more clear by the day.
I hope and pray that all Christians and churches put the focus where it is supposed to be for Christmas -
JESUS! I would also hope and pray that Christians would celebrate JESUS every day. JESUS is the biggest and most precious Gift that any of us have ever received. Most people have extra days off from work near Christmas. We can and should be using this extra time to Thank, Praise, and Worship GOD with our families and friends. We should also be using the extra time to tell our children about JESUS and the Cross. The Gospel of the Grace of God never gets old or outdated, and we should reinforce these precious truths with our families. Many Christians work pretty hard, and there really might not be frequent times for families to slow down and do the most important things in this life. We know that JESUS wasn't born on December 25th, but we can use this special time with our family and friends in a manner that will bring glory, honor, and praise to our Lord and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Thanks be unto GOD for HIS unspeakable GIFT!, JESUS CHRIST, our Lord and Saviour forever!Love In Christ,
Tom
Galatians 4:4-6 NASB But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!"
