Plainfield -- A gospel concert Saturday will benefit wounded soldiers returning from war zones.
Air Force veteran Bob Adamson helped organize the event after meeting several veterans who had been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. David Hatfield, associate pastor of Harmony Baptist Church in Avon, also helped organize the event.

The gospel concert will be at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Plainfield. Scheduled to appear are His Design, a local group; Allegiance, a trio from Lexington, Ky.; and the Woodsmen, a group from Columbus, Ind.
Those currently serving in the military and all veterans will be honored at the concert.
Though admission is free, an offering will be collected to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides services for those seriously injured in the war.
