I was coming out of the convenience store about an hour ago and on the pavement near my pickup lay a penny. Just a penny – can’t even buy anything for a penny – pennies have been reduced to decimals for accounting purposes. Nobody picks up pennies.
But then I remembered that on that little disk, molded in copper, are the four little words “In God We Trust”.
Hmph! Go figure! In an instant that little coin turned from being ‘Only a Penny’ into a blessing!
(He-he-he; I picked that penny right up!)
YIKES!!!!! You have to keep this quiet! If the ACLU discovers that pennies can be a Christian blessing, then who knows WHAT will happen!
