Hotel Rwanda

I watched "Hotel Rwanda" several days ago and I am still thinking about it.
Over one million people died in senseless conflict. I can't really figure out whom to blame for it. Everyone in the film seems to have the answer but no answer. It is truly a study in evil.

I never saw it. It looked to much like a propaganda film. Most of those types are. You are suppose to leave the movie gotcha8ed off at somebody. The previews made it look like the incedent that happened in the movie was partly to blame on America for not getting involved.

One thing that bothered me was that they blamed the racism and how it started on the Belgians. Just the same I have heard American racism against blacks originated with Irish immigrants. Racism and violence against the Irish blamed on the English. Racism against native peoples (North American)with the European settlers. Racism against certain people in China with the Japanese. Racism between Tamils and Singalese (Sri Lanka) on the British. Everyone has someone to blame, usually it is Americans.
I even had one Jewish associate of mine blame some of the violence in the Middle East on "those Christians trying to convert everyone". According to him Jews and Muslims have lived in these countries peacefully for hundreds of years then the Christians came in and started making problems by trying to convert people.
I guess some people would blame God for racism since He created us. Racism truly is evil.

Tell you're Jewish friend to read a little Jewish History, written by Jewish Historians, and get back to you.
The Christian intervention (as prophecied) seems to make things worse, yes, but these 2 people have been fighting since before there was Christianity!

I have to apologize for my Jewish friend. He once asked me if, as a Christian, I blamed the Jews for killing Jesus. I told him Jesus died for our sins, that was His purpose. I think there is still hope for my friend.
