A Silent Prayer

A touch of silence gives me my moments in time
so I gather them all.
My need to completely belong is where I am
with my need to wonder why.
A life to live while gripping the fear
all truly too costly in expense!

I find myself much too weakened to stand
but held by my refusal to fall.
Following you, following me,
a silent prayer seems the only ally.
A glimmer of hope is laced in the shadows
of my cringe for despair.

Desires erupt paralyzing minds
forcing the hold back of my true and genuine promise.
Shimmering lights were prepared in the pathway
that was laid before me,
Is this really my true moment to stand
with all that I am and care?

Confusion strikes the words that I think
when I reach for the answers that I’ve obviously missed.
Holding you, holding me, the wonders of the world
are bits of gentle for my eyes to see.
A day of light and a night of darkness,
but a purpose that stands true and complete.

Vibrant sensations come to me,
moments that carry me with no hidden fear.
Shadows of all kinds evolve around me
bringing me to a place of joy and a place to cry.
Captured in an aura of newfound strength comes alive
at rapid speeds through the insides of me.
Now for the battle of truth that lies deep within buried alive
with a life that always seems to reappear.

Touching you, touching me, released into
a silent prayer to cleanse, soothe, and purify.
A moment completed in my time lifts me higher
raising my insides up to touch the unreachable stars.
I’m gripped by life and held in fear with moments
to come forth with all that I am standing bare!
I have found myself surrounded
by the light that will always shine.

Now, I stand buried alive in life with my soul deep
seeded in the core of every beating heart.
Feeling you and feeling me,
I stand complete and bare
sounding to the words
of a silent prayer.
