is anyone here in the military?

hey y'all. i was just wondering if any of y'all are in the military. my dad is in the air force reserves and the air national guard and he's going overseas this summer for about 45 days or more.

People should be careful in discussing their family in the military.  There is war going on.  This is a public forum and anything here can and will be read by the enemy as well as friends.  

If you would like people to pray for your family, please ask.  I am sure your parents would not like you to discuss their duties here.

M is right. You should not discuss what, when or where they are going to do their military duties on an open forum. I am retired military and converse daily with those still active, so I do understand this quite well.

My prayers for your family as they are with all military and their families.

 i wasn't thinking about that, but i do agree with y'all. i was just wondering if anyone here was in the military. sorry, didn't mean to offend y'all.

i didn't think about not talking about my dad. i realize now that i could have left that part out. i just wanted to meet others who are in the military also. glad to know you're not offended. i'm a pretty calm person and i don't get upset easily, but when i read what y'all said, it sounded like y'all were mad or upset or something. but now i know that i shouldn't ever say that stuff online. please forgive me.
