Hey guys. Been awhile. Sorry I left without so much as a bye. Cry I had my computer upgraded and was computer-less for a while. Been online for a couple of weeks getting everything set back up again. Sorry it took so long to get back here. I should have made this my first stop upon getting back online. Undecided

Anyway, I'll get back to posting not only replies and new topics I feel led to post, but also try and get my daily devotionals going again. Hope everyone had a Merry CHRISTmas (more on that in another thread and post - here's a link: http://forums.christiansunite.com/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=6522) and a Happy New Year and I pray that y'all have a Christ filled year to come.

God Bless You All,
Robert

Well, thanx for the warm return wishes KristiAnn and Joshua. How are you feeling these days Kristi? I know I've said a prayer or two with your name in it. Hope things are working out for you. I'll continue to offer you up in prayer.

WELCOME BACK ROBERT!

In answer to your question, my family and I had a wonderful Christmas in the LORD. God has richly blessed my family, and I pray that the same is true for all Christians everywhere.

Every new day belongs to the LORD and so does this new year of 2005. I hope and pray that we all yield to the LORD and do HIS Will for however many days and hours he gives us. All praise and Glory for the LORD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Well, strange things are a happenin'. I mean, listen to this. I traded in my old computer and had a basic upgrade done. I got it back and took some time setting everything up. After all was said and done, nearly two weeks I finally made my way back here to re-introduce myself and get back in the swing of things. Not but a few days later my new motherboard gets fried. Seems someone or something doesn't want me to fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Anyway...I'm back yet again. Hopefully to stay this time. And I really need it too. I'm seeing myself slide a lot on things I know I shouldn't be doing. Nothing capital or anything, but sin is sin. So being back her on a nightly basis should help me get back into reading my Bible and praying and hopefully starting my daily devotionals back up if I cn find the book I was using.

So, I'm back and hopefully to cheers and applaudes. Just kidding. Hope everyone had a solid life while I've been absent. If anyone needs prayer, feel free to PM me. Having prayer needs will help keep me praying like I need to. Until later...

God Bless,
Robert

WELCOME BACK ROBERT - WE MISSED YOU!

I wonder if Bill Gates is laughing every time anyone has trouble with a computer. I know that I've certainly had my share of problems. My problem was nursing very old computers along because I didn't have the money to buy a new one. I finally did get a new one after the old one fried completely. Now I only suffer from Windows revenge from time to time.   Cheesy

Brother, it's nice to have you back.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Brother Robert,

You are most welcome.

Reference e-Sword, I love it and have been using it for years now. It's completely free, so it isn't advertising. On top of it being free, it is much better than many commercial Bible study programs that cost well over $500. AND, there is a huge assortment of free dictionaries, commentaries, maps, etc. I find it hard to believe that some of the components that are free with e-Sword are actually being sold by some sites on the Internet that are probably committing fraud. One of the license requirements for the free study package is that nothing in the package can be sold. You get it free and if you distribute it, you must distribute it free. Most of the free maps and study materials that come with e-Sword are excellent. It's built around the KJV and KJV + Strong's Numbers, but I think there are more than 30 other translations of the Bible that are also free. I highly recommend it.

By the way, e-Sword also distributes the Spurgeon and Hoekstra Devotions in the package, all completely free. If you look in the Bible Study area, I have a link for e-Sword on every Day By Day By Grace (Bob Hoekstra) Devotion that is posted.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ephesians 1:12-14  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

I'm lovin' it so far. Not sure how to use it all yet, but I'll get the hang of it. Took quite a bit of time yesterday and today going through it and also downloaded quite a bit of the commentaries, dictionaries, some graphics, one devotional and a few different Bible translations.

Thanx again for the warm welcome back and may God pour out His blessings on you and everyone.

God Bless,
Robert

Brother Robert,

My memory has slipped again. I just sent you a private mail about the same Bible study package.   Cheesy  Well, that's the first mistake I've made since midnight.

I will try to answer your other questions tomorrow. I bet my memory will be better after some rest.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight, but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
