Enclosed is a real Christmas Miracle story written by my 88 year old mother. I get chills up my spine when I hear Mom tell this true story. You will too. Enjoy and pass along so others may enjoy too. Please keep the page intact. Pass it along if you like.
Much Love to All, ~Nancie-rose & Bess

      Miracle At Christmas 1949

In the mountains of Virginia ferocious winter storms pommel the offshoots of the Cumberlands . It  was such a winter in the year of 49. My husband was
on strike at the mines where he worked. The Union had stopped and also all sales of coal. This was our only source of heat. We were devastated and sad.
This was Christmas and we had no money for gifts for the children.
Little Nancy was only six months old, and Bess was 6 years old, old enough to know the meaning of Christmas. The snow was very deep and icicles hung over the windows.
I was washing the breakfast dishes when Bess began to cry. She was stooped over the small radio, her hands in a prayerful pose."Oh Mommy", she cried  "Please make it play. I want to hear the story of Baby Jesus." I tried to explain that Daddy had taken the radio to the repair shop and they found a piece missing. It could not be repaired. She kept crying softly. My heart was heavy. What could I do? Nothing, but I knew someone who could. Suddenly an outburst of faith rose in my heart.
I ran through the room where my husband had pulled the babies crib up close to the coal heater. I then said "When I come  back through, be ready to
run in the kitchen and turn on the radio" I cried.
He looked askance but said not a word.
It was ice cold in the front room. I remember how cold the floor felt to my knees. I started to pray. I heard my voice spiraling upwards. I don't
know what I said. It seemed but a moment that I rose and ran back in the room where my little family waited with hope in their eyes.
"Quick" I cried. "Turn on the radio!" My husband in front, little Bess dancing behind and me following I glanced back at my darling baby, here
eyes were wide with wonder as if she knew something exciting was going on, and indeed it was!  My husband turned the knob and out of the
impaired radio flowed the beautiful carol, JOY TO
 THE WORLD. {Fred Warings Choir}
The three of us joined hands and danced all around the room, but that was not the end of the miracles that day.
When I looked into my husband's drawn face, I saw grave concern.
For a joyful moment, I had forgotten that the last shovel of coal was burning away... no fuel for the coal stove for the cook stove or heater. "I am
going under the floor", he announced and do some digging. This house is very old. That coal bin is very old. Who knows? There may be some coal under the dirt. "
We heard him digging for some time. The fire in the heater was putting out less heat. I took the baby in my arms and held her close.
Then, "Bang!" The kitchen door burst open and snow was pouring in. I lay the baby down and ran. My breathless husband pulled me out the door and down the hill to the cellar through much snow.
There at my feet was a shining miracle, a long slab of black coal. We embraced, tearfully, for a moment, and then we laughed and laughed, our joy
 overflowing.
That evening our landlady that was a lady and probably never borrowed  a dime came to our door. "Can you loan me a little coal?" she asked smiling.
Three buckets of beautiful coal sat there before her. She didn't know the miracle that warmed her hearth that day.

Our Heavenly Father gives us blessings every
day, so many in fact, we often take them for
granted, but when we are down to our last bite and
our hearth is cold we find miraculous blessings from
God. Don't despair at meagerness in your life. God
is there. Believe in miracles! Ask God.

Great story shy.

God is able to meet all our needs, no matter how small or great they may be.

My Own Personal Christmas
    by Debra J. Womack

Just a short story... I was having one of those kind of down days yesterday. In my heart I really didn’t know where I was going to celebrate Christmas day, and I have been so busy running around taking care of everyone else I forgot about myself. I suddenly slowed down enough to realize... I had forgotten me. Refusing to give in to that dark cloud of self-pity and unhappiness, I simply winged a small heart prayer to God... “I wish I had somewhere to go for Christmas, and Jesus, You know who I would like to spend Christmas day with... and.... I’m am so tired I just wish I could soak in a hot tub for a year... "

...by this time I was feeling warm fuzzies all over...
Weary to the bones and ready to burst into tears, I unlocked my door, entered the apartment and glanced at the blinking light on my answer machine. Well, just one message today. I pushed the button marked ‘miracle call’ and listened as one of God’s Angels invited me to Christmas Dinner. As I called to accept the invitation, I opened a Christmas package from another of God’s Angels...“soul soothing bath beads and body lotion”... and by this time I was feeling warm fuzzies all over...He was listening this afternoon when that sigh slipped out and winged it’s way into His Heart! But wait....it’s not over yet... as Angel #1 answered the phone, she seemed to feel the need to apologize, for the last two days, every time she prayed, she kept feeling like she needed to ask two specific people to Christmas Dinner. Although she felt sure they had both made other plans, she felt that she had to make sure. I was one of those two people, placed upon her heart... oh yes, the other person? The other person was that one person I wanted to spend Christmas with...

The Bible says that Jesus is our High Priest who is touched with the feelings of our infirmities. And to “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” He knows how it feels...

My happiness does not depend on the other person accepting the invitation. My joy springs from the relationship with a God who hears the whimpers of my heartstrings. Who has time for “self-pity” when they serve a God who cares for His Own? I didn’t try to force the rose to bloom before it was time... and God surprised me with an early blooming rose!

Good morning.
This is God.
I will be handling all of your problems today.
I do not need your help.
Have a nice day.

    P.S. Have a Merry Christmas!
