"If they lose respect for you, you're done."

Hmmmmmmm.

(Maybe it would just be better not to ever be 'respectable' in the first place??  That way at least you can't sink any lower.   Grin)

There's something amiss 'bout 'trying' to be respectable.

I don't think women want someone who's 'respectable' anyway.  I think they just want someone who'll bring home the bacon.  That's understandable, but generally I think that's what they want.

But most people equate 'being respectable' with 'bringing home the bacon'.

Lotz of people bring home the bacon, but does that make them 'respectable'??

If the marriage fail ?blame yourself .GOD WORKS THIOUGH THE MAN .unless there is no man .Then the woman

Hmmmm.  Maybe.  Undecided

But, I think, even if I did, that would be very, very dangerous.

B/c, then it would go to my head.

Then that would be my great downfall.  (not that can fall that much farther.   Grin).

And secondly, I don't think women can ever be "figured out", anyway.

In fact, I think that's a misaligned presumption, that phrase, b/c it implies things about a woman that are God-created(i.e, that is, that she was taken from Adam's rib, and is simply just made that way).  And I don't  think it's a man's obligation, or prerogative, or even "challenge", to "figure a woman out".

A man has to be a man regardless of what the woman is; and that's what a woman wants in a man.

She doesn't even care if he brings home the bacon; she needs him to just be a man(although, by definition, "being a man" implies, among other things, bringing home the bacon).

A woman will be willing to die for a man, if he's a man.

But likewise, a man needs to be willing to die with that same purpose, though it's not so much directed at the woman, as much as it is to something else - or Someone Else.

...who gives us his Holy Spirit, to understand these things.

I`m only confused when men arnt confused, because then I have to figure out how they got  unconfused, and somehow find a way to  send them back to confusion, its all quite confusing unless you are used to confusion, luckily I thrive on it!  Grin
