Amen?

This is probably a totally out-there question that has no roots at all in the making sense department.
But...
I've noticed that an ancient Egyptian 'god' was called 'Amen'. Is there any connection between 'Amen' and our amen we use at the end of a prayer?

Amen is a hebrew word: Strong's Hebrew 0543 amen [aw mane] It means verily, truly, so be it.
Shalom, Nana

Amen the Egyptian god is more correctly spelled Amon. This was Egyptian for "hidden". It has nothing to do with the Hebrew word amen.
