My husband has my little one's Cocker Spaniel trained to 'herd' the chickens!  Cocker Spaniels are very strange little dogs.   Oh yeah! Very strange! Guess that's why God gave them the 'cute factor'!  That's what I was referring to. They are very strange looking. VERY. Long ears, long fur, that "I don't know what I'm doing" look, . But hey, they're dogs. That's good enough for me!   |

My dog is good for taking off your socks. Only good if he doesn't get carried away and try to rip off your toes along with it.
He isn't much good for protection. Someone would come into our house and he would probably lick them to death. Either that or hide under the bed.
He also loves to chase our cats. Once he found a "pretty kitty" outside and stank for almost 4 months.
He is also good for making messes, be it shredding things, stealing from the garbage or digging up the backyard.
The only thing that he alarms us about is if someone is getting close to his personal space. He will let out a warning howl while kicking out all fours and laying on his side on the floor.
He is also good for entertainment. I love to see him jump for the cotton tree seeds and try to catch them. Every once in a while you'll see him hack on one.
Yep, I have a genious for a dog.

Dogs make great Dishwashers when mom and dad aren't around to baby sit! (Personal experience speaking...) Dogs also make great prayer companions and gift openers

Nobody that visits our house knows that the dog has licked almost all the dishes at some point or another! |

My dog is my night night buddy,and laundery buddy. If you yell laundery buddy or night night buddy he comes running to the spot that you are going to go. He knows the difference. Lately he thinks he's one of those little frew frew dogs. He tries to climb and sit on my lap, he just doesn't believe that he is a 60 pound boarder collie.
