There are some who believe that choosing to accept Jesus is a "work" and therefore, a sin. That God has pre-selected everyone who will be saved. So - Jesus' promise that whosoever, accepts Him will be saved, is in effect, a lie.
I don't believe this....Other opinions?

John 6:27.
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
28. Then said they unto him,
What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29.
Jesus answered and said unto them,
This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.Believing on Jesus is a work. The work of God. When we believe on Christ and come unto HIm we are working the work of God.
The devil is talking when it is said that accepting Christ is a work and a sin. Many are so confused about the works of the law and the work of God.
Imagine choosing to accept Christ being a sin because it is a work!
Oh Satan, Get thee hence!

I agree Ollie.
However, I should clarify...
When I said "work" it was taken in the context of being a sin.
In other words - There are some who believe God has pre-selected those of us who will be saved, and we can not choose Jesus - we have no "free will" - and to believe we can choose Jesus - is a "work" of sin - in the same manner as those who believe we don't need Jesus, as long as we are "good" people and do only good things.
I simply reject this. Jesus says -
whoever believes in Him, shall be saved. We are created with
FREE WILL!
