Jesus, remember me... Luke 23:42

Following is from a D-NY Senator.  While I believe in rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, (paying taxes), I want to know who this senator would assign the task of defining what is ‘common good’.  Would it be a committee?  A vote?  Or maybe a ‘presidential decree’???  Although not stated exactly what the ‘common good’ is, is this senator’s definition of ‘common good’ the only definition?  Would her definition be God’s definition or would it fly in the face of our Lord?

Hillary: We'll take your money for 'common good'
Senator speaks to wealthy taxpayers at San Francisco fund-raiser  Posted: June 29, 2004  5:00 p.m. Eastern © 2004 WorldNetDaily.com

Addressing a Democratic fund-raiser yesterday, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., told wealthy supporters the government will need to take money away from them for the "common good."
Traveling with her husband on his book tour, Clinton headlined an appearance with other women Democratic senators in San Francisco, where donors gave as much as $10,000 to California Sen. Barbara Boxer's campaign.
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Clinton said, according to the Associated Press. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you.
"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

So, do you think Hitlary's common good is in tune with what you believe mankind's common good is?

Oklahoma Howdy to JudgeNot,

WOW!, what a question!   Grin

Bill, Hillary, their dog, and Monica together couldn't define the "Common Good". It appears that our entire body of elected officials have a pretty hard time doing that most of the time.

However, if I had to choose someone in the above group to make a decision, I would go with the dog.   Grin

Back to a serious note, God's will is not being done in our nation. Our nation has turned its back on Almighty God. There have been several cases where members of the legislature have taken a moral and Biblical stand only to be chewed up and spit out. If there are like members in the legislature, they are too chicken to stand up. I think it is a true statement that our legislature cares little about their decisions being within the will of Almighty God. However, they are concerned about the special interest groups, those who make big campaign contributions, and not ruffling any feathers at all.

As an obvious result, most politicians are gutless wimps who will tell you whatever you want to hear. I apologize for being so shy on this topic.   Grin

Love In Christ,
Tom

How is the nation not doing God's will? I'm just curious...

And just curious? What's everyone got against Bill? I just want to hear everyone's reasons for rattling on him so much  Smiley

How? You ask how? and why?

They're one and the same.

Adultery. Fornication. Theft. Lying. Murder. Self-exaltation.

mmm....

but so has virtually every other President...not so much ranting on them...Clinton isn't the only one who's had affairs MANY presidents bothed loved and hated have had affairs.

Our current Prez has lied, stolen, killed and self-exalted more than Clinton ever did...I'm not defending Clinton, but I'm just saying that he's not the only one who has done some not so great things, so I just wondered why so much focus was on him.

You make a sweeping accusation, the penalty for which, (if Bush is guilty) according to our Lord, could be everlasting death.  Back your accusations up.  When, where, how?  Tell us.  We are all waiting…
(Don't quote the proven liar and God hater Michael Moore, please - or you will immediately loose any credibility.)
Tell us, from reputable sources; can you prove your accusations?

I can back up my belief that Billy C. is an adulterer, liar, killer from any source you name.  They have all reported it on the 'back page'.

Go for it.  Real sources....  Hmmmm?
