Why are people given Gods Holy Spirit?
JOHN 14 [15] If ye love me, keep my commandments.[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;[17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.[18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.[19] Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.[20] At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.[21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
In John 14 the scriptures say that IF you love God, keep the commandments. And if you keep the commandments, GOD will send to you the Holy Ghost, the comforter that shall teach you all things. So how can someone claim to have the Holy Spirit and not be keeping the commandments of GOD. Including the keeping of GODS sabbath.
JOHN 14 [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.[22] Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.[25] These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.[27] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
There will be some that will say that John 14 is not speaking about the 10 commandments. They have to either believe whats written or say whats written, aint what it really says. Which is what they do. So lets look at another scripture concerning the Holy Spirit.
ACTS 2 [32] This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.[33] Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.[34] For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,[35] Until I make thy foes thy footstool.[36] Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
In ACTS 2 the scripture says that first you must repent of sin, then be baptized and ye shall recieve the Holy Spirit. What are you to repent of ? Sin of course. What do the scriptures say sin is?
1JOHN3 [4] Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. The 10 commandments, the perfect law of liberty. And if you repent of sin, then you must be keeping the 10 commandments. Anyone who is not keeping the 10 commandments and claim they have recieved a spirit are not lying to you. Its just not the Holy Spirit of GOD.
2 COR.11 [3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.[4] For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. EPH.2 [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
