We recently moved out to my sisters and we've not even been there a week and I've had 3 ticks, my mother has had about 4, my sister and father have all gotten ticks. One of the ticks that bit my mother has left a rash that is getting bigger, and she is going to the doctor today.  Please pray for her to be alright.  The type of tick she had, a lonestar tick, can carry both Limes Disease, and Rocky Mt spotted fever.  I'm concerned about her.

Praying Colleen...

I have to deal w/ the tick problem too....our neighbor has a HUGE oak tree...and bushes....and we've sprayed and advantaged all the dogs...and I've been bitten also.  No rashes, just lumps...but it's not like I CAN'T go outside.
I questioned our vet about it...and he just said, be prepared for a really bad tick season....UGH!!!

Oh dear...so far we Michiganians haven't had a bad tick season so far.
A rash can be common with any insect bite, but your mother's rash sounds like it could be dangerous. How is she doing?
