Jesus Christ is Lord!

A friend, Alaster, has been thinking about suicide. I introduced Jesus to Him the best I could. During the conversation he shared with me some of the pain he was feeling. From this I hope we can be moved to pray for his suffering.

As a child at the age 7 his family divorced very early. I believe this is the source of most of his problems. He felt completely abandoned by the people he felt that loved him. He has never gotten along with his stepmom or father since then. He is now 17 and he is approaching a new phase where he must be strong enough to survive on his own.

This is his biggest problem. He feels that he has not been given the support and love from his parents to succeed out on his own. He is angry at his parents for not understanding him. He feels his parents hate him, but he has tried his hardest to do good things. He feels that no one, most of all his parents, recognizes the good he has done for them. He is also a scapegoat for most of the problems in his house or consequences his older sister has suffered are irrevelantly placed on him.

He has examined himself for his own abilities and potential yet he feels he has none. His parents he says aren't helping at all yet they expect him to do so much on his own. He has searched for many things to do but in the end he always feels he has been a failure. There is no purpose in my life -he says- so there is no reason for me to live.

I believe that Alaster has been lacking in love. He has been a daily acquiantance to me yet I have never sensed his troubling condition; he has a lot bottled up inside of him that he is not expressing. He was an agnostic today, but hopefully, he will accept Jesus as his savior. One word to sum up his life now is that he is lost. May we pray that he will find God and see that God loves him and has a great purpose for his life. Pray that he believes and receives Jesus Christ now.

I'm praying for your friend and believe God will Help him.  The Lord's standing right next to him with open arms waiting to comfort him and give him strength.  Just help him turn to see him.  Maybe give him a bible that's Just the New Testament.  I have found many people get bogged down in the Old Testament and give up before they get to our Lord Jesus.
Gods word never comes back void.
God Bless,

O Lord, rest Your hand upon this man in need. Purge any bad or unclean thing that is left over from his former life. Show him Your victory in completeness and touch his soul in Your special way. Let him see that from today he is more than a conqueror! In Jesus' name, amen

Thanks for your prayers. Alaster seems better and he's not dead!  Grin  Just listening to him I think has given him some hope that people do care about him. He seems happier but i have not talked to him yet.  I hope its because he knows Jesus as his savior.

Sounds like good news?

Thank you for caring enough about this guy to be such a friend to him; he really needs you right now, you may never know how much. (He really needs the Lord too - perhaps you will be one of the means by which God brings this young man to Himself.)
