I want to recommend this book to everyone so they can read it before the movie comes out later this year.

It is an interesting mind bender about sociology and psychology centered around the three laws of robotics.

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

These three were thought to be enough to completely protect humanity from robots and to keep them under our control - of course it doesn't turn out to be quite that simple and the paradoxes and conflicts that arise make for an interesting problem for the heros in each episodic encounter.

The book is short, a small thin paperback (about the size Of Mice and Men) and a quick read.

The movie will have Will Smith in it and looks to be a good/faithful translation to the big screen.
