Do you ever ask for MORE from God....to walk the walk MORE, or talk the talk MORE?
And then when God answers you with MORE....you just don't know where you will ever get the strength to do MORE?
He's answered my prayers, hmmm not as I would have expected.  And I'm so tired...I wish I didn't have MORE coming soon, though I'm thankful to do it.  Just scared I won't measure up or shortchange others.
How do you handle MORE? from God.

Thanks for any help/insight.

Whenever the fatigue comes, and I'm recently recovering from a bout of my own, I generally find after the fact, that I was zealously using my energy in a way God didn't mean me to. My motives may have been where they should have been, my intentions may have been proper, but that doesn't add up to His will.

And often, it's because He's jealous of my time. It's true-the more time we spend with Him, the more we'll use our energies in the area He chooses. But when we're busier with our personal ministries than we are  just spending time with Him, we lose our focus, our perspective, our patience, and our energy. And then we don't trust Him quite as much, because we stepped away from intimate fellowship with Him. When we don't trust ourselves, it's really because we're putting our trust in ourselves and seeing our inadequacy. And why do we do it? Because we trust ourselves more than we trust Him, and we find it doesn't work. So then we refocus on the Lord and renew our strength. (At least, this is how it is with me.)

Blessings,

Along the lines of what Whitehorse said, I have to stop and ask God to show me what He wants me to do versus what I want to do. And the things that aren't led by Him, I have to let go! And those times when I felt overwhelmed are the times I had to let go of the worry, stress, etc. and turn it back over to Him and go by faith. It was scary... but it strengthened my walk with Him!

Just an idea.... Because of what all is going on in your life right now, will the 'more' that He's given end up being a distraction from the present worries? Or has He given you 'more' to help you let go of the worries to soley rely on Him?  Undecided

Either way, He won't give you anything to handle that will shortchange others or that you won't measure up to!   Cheesy

Wow thanks for your great insights.  I hadn't thought of either of those things you all mentioned.  Hmmm.  I have to take some time and really get some quiet time to let these worries go.  Spend some more time with him and just rely on Him instead of myself so much.  Then maybe I will know if this is from him or me trying to be superwoman again.  Wink

I guess I'm just nervous and feeling a bit overwhelmed.
Thanks for your great advice...I know that this issue comes up alot with me....and I'm glad to have a place to go back to.  GOD.
Sometimes I lose my way.
God Bless,

This verse came in my email this morning...

2Co 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency [abundance] of the power [ability, strength]may be of God, and not of us.

When God gives us more, all the abundance of ability to deal with it comes from Him also...a true treasure!

This made me smile ...

Troubles

I’ve got a heap of troubles
And I’ve got to work them out.
But I look around and see
There’s trouble all about.
And when I see my troubles,
I just look up and grin
And count all the trouble
That I’m not in.  Cheesy
