It is also translated as Hillariously. This is the stated attitude of Christian giving in 2 Cor 8. It is not an attitude of laughing, joking, and just having a big old time, although that would be okay.

It comes from the Greek root word for PROPITIATION and has the meaning of to SATISFY or SATISFACTION.

From the context of 2 Cor 8,9 I believe it indicates SATISFACTION that we have allowed the GIVING GOD to function through us. Were we not created to be vessels for the expression of God's givingness?
