IN BRIEF
WaPo Shock Report: Sociopathic Criminals Try to Kill Cops!10
By Mark Alexander
In the wake of my analysis this week11 of the sociopathic assailants in El Paso and Dayton and the Left’s predictable “gun control” theatrics (which ignore the root causes of sociopathic violence in America), another sociopath in Philadelphia shot six police officers on Thursday.
Recall that a few days before the Philadelphia attack, Demo presidential wannabe Elizabeth Warren, now trailing only Joe Biden among Democrat primary contenders, declared, “Michael Brown was murdered by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. … We must confront systemic racism and police violence head on.” The death of street thug Michael Brown wasn’t a murder, of course, but it was a Demo race-bait case study12. And now, long after Barack Obama’s13 Department of Justice cleared the officer involved14 in a completely unnecessary investigation, Warren rewarms the “racist cop” smear.
Her recycling of that false narrative was immediately condemned15 by her home state’s Massachusetts Coalition of Police. According to the police union president, Scott Hovsepian16, “Your labeling of law enforcement as racist and violent is unacceptable and dangerous.”
Unacceptable and dangerous indeed, which brings us to the case of the career criminal sociopath in Philadelphia. That assailant, a 36-year-old black man, started a shootout with police who’d attempted to execute a narcotics warrant. He has an 18-year criminal record — consisting of more than a dozen arrests resulting in six convictions for a wide range of charges including “illegal possession of guns, drug dealing, and aggravated assault” — and had already been in federal prison for firearms violations. Making matters worse, while Philadelphia police were attempting to resolve the deadly situation, they were pelted with rocks and bottles17 as the chaotic scene unfolded.
You’ve likely already been subjected to endless MSM churn about that siege, with little mention of the race or criminal history of the assailant, but you might have missed this “brilliant” Beltway Leftmedia18 analysis in The Washington Post. Under the headline, “Police officers keep getting shot by people with criminal records who are not allowed to own guns19,” WaPo analyst James Hohmann outlined numerous attacks on police in recent years by violent sociopaths who were not allowed to have guns. Shocking, isn’t it? Turns out that violent criminals don’t obey the law.
Predictably, the Left took a temporary break from accusing cops (and ICE agents20) of being racist fascists in order to join Demo Sen. Kamala Harris to politicize the Philadelphia shootout21. The city’s mayor, Jim Kenney, joined in to spew this semi-literate nonsense22: “This government, on the federal and state level, don’t want to do anything about getting these guns off the street and getting them out of the hands of criminals.”
So, what’s the WaPo and collective Democrat solution to this “gun problem”? Disarm law-abiding citizens23 who legally acquire firearms to protect themselves and others. What could go wrong?

Israel Bars Entry of Anti-Israel Reps. Omar and Tlaib24
On Thursday, following a social-media comment from President Donald Trump in which he stated that “it would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. [Ilhan] Omar and Rep. [Rashida] Tlaib to visit,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in what some see as a nod to Trump, acted to ban the two Israel-hating congresswomen from entering the Jewish nation. Netanyahu explained, “As a vibrant and free democracy, Israel is open to any visitor and to any criticism, with one exception: The law in Israel forbids the entry of people calling for and acting to placing a boycott on Israel, as is the norm in other democracies that prevent the entry of people whom they see as harming the country.”
The law Netanyahu referenced was passed by the Knesset in 2017, which bans the entry of foreigners into the country if they support the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. Netanyahu noted that both Omar and Tlaib had made “clear that they were planning a campaign whose sole purpose was to strengthen the boycott and negate Israel’s legitimacy.” Essentially, what Omar and Tlaib were demanding was special treatment to engage in the overt breaking of Israel’s own laws.
Clearly, Omar and Tlaib’s objective was to paint Israel in a negative light regardless of whether they were allowed in. While barring them entry prevents the photo ops, they can now assert that Israel is attempting to hide its “oppressive conditions” and claim the martyr mantel to further their anti-Israel narrative. In a sense, Netanyahu was in a no-win situation, as criticism would come no matter what decision was made.
However, in a show of good faith, Israel on Friday granted Tlaib permission to enter the country on humanitarian grounds so she could go visit her 90-year-old grandmother living in the West Bank. But — surprise, surprise — Tlaib has rejected the offer, stating, “I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in — fighting against racism, oppression & injustice.” Evidently for Tlaib, promoting the Lefts’ fallacious anti-Semitic BDS narrative trumps all other concerns, including family.

GREENLAND ON ACQUISITION LIST? “President Trump made his name on the world’s most famous island. Now he wants to buy the world’s biggest. The idea of the U.S. purchasing Greenland has captured the former real-estate developer’s imagination, according to people familiar with the discussion, who said Mr. Trump has, with varying degrees of seriousness, repeatedly expressed interest in buying the ice-covered autonomous Danish territory between the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans. … U.S. officials view Greenland as important to American national-security interests.” (The Wall Street Journal32)
POLITICAL WITHDRAWAL: “Allies to Joe Biden have been floating the idea of altering the former vice president’s schedule in an effort to reduce the gaffes he has made in recent days. The allies, growing increasingly nervous about Biden’s verbal flubs, have said it’s an approach that’s been suggested to campaign officials on the heels of the former vice president’s stumbles.” (The Hill33)
