We all know we're supposed to pray for each other as fellow Christians, and there are several people who pray regularly for the participants here, but I thought it would be a good manifestation of the Lord's power if we adopted one another in prayer. Everyone pray diligently for someone else, so that everuone is covered on a daily basis. It would also be a good way to protect the unity of the saints (the main topic of Ephesians), and to protect each other from spiritual attacks. If you'd like to join, please post and we can make sure everyone has someone. People can join anytime, also. Maybe we can have occasional corporate prayer as well, posting occasionally and giving reports back on how things are going.

In His Service,

Awesome! Please consider yourself adopted in prayer. Smiley Anytime you have requests, just send 'em my way!

Many thanks and blessings to you for a willing and gracious heart.

Amen,

Add me!  This is a great idea.  Sometimes its hard to cover everyone.  There are a few here that I remember regularly in prayer, but I think this will make sure none are overlooked.

Thanks whitehorse.

Grace and Peace!

Awwwwright! This is so cool!! Thanks, everyone! I'm very excited, because it's true-prayer is extremely powerful. I'll have to tell you about some prayers that He has answered before. In fact, anyone else is welcome to do so, too. God is so good.

Okay, Whitehorse...if no one minds, I would like to share something. It isn't exactly an answer to a specific prayer, but it was comforting.

My mother had been very depressed, and in empathy, I was also discouraged. I hate it when someone is in need, and I don't know how to help. I wanted her to have joy, to keep her through this depression.
Part of Mom's sadness was due to symptoms similar to Alzheimer's, and her greatest fear is losing memories of her life and family. So I began to make a small book about all my childhood memories that involved her.
In the process, I remembered that she had given me a music box that played "You Light Up My Life"; and she would sing me the song before I went to bed, because I "lit up her life." As I grew, I would always confuse this song with a church tune, "Jesus, Name Above All Names".
I was thinking about these two songs all day, and getting more depressed, and wishing I could help.
That evening I went to church; though the style tends to be modern, and we usually sing at least three songs at night, the only song that was played for the service was "JESUS NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES".
Part of the hymn, "God is with us," stuck in my mind, and I think it helped to comfort mom.

Oh, so Tigerwilwee finalwee decided to weeturn, huh Tigerwilwee??

   Grin   Welcome back Tigerwilwee.     Grin

Wee pway for Tigerwilwee often, here.   Smiley

Let's see, Whitehorse, so are you meaning like a "buddy system" of sorts?   Each participant has a person, or persons,  they pray for?

Shouldn't it be random--like passing a hat, and you pick out of the hat the number of names you want to pray for?

Or should it be that specific?

If we choose, I'm afraid someone might be left out.  Seems like it should be random?

I dunno.   Lips Sealed

Willow, thank you for your testimony. I'm so glad you and your Mom were comforted by that providence.

TL, welcome aboard! Good to see you back, and I'm so glad the doctors found the cause. I have fibromyalgia, too, and it was so bad I couldn't move. Now I feel fine as long as I eat the right things and *stay hydrated*. There's a book you might like called the fibromyalgia cookbook. It has recipes for all the things you need to eat to stay healthy. Smiley

Symphony, I'll be praying for everyone who posts, and then to assign each person one member, how about if everyone prays for the person to make a first post beneath them. (That way every person has someone to pray for them, and the last person to make an opening post can pray for me. Smiley
