Richard Viguerie: South Carolina Tea Party Steamroller Sweeps Establishment Republicans Out of Office
Contact:   Bob Sturm, 703-307-8176; after 6 PM Eastern, Bob Sturm or Vi Shields, 703-307-8176 or 703-906-6542; ConservativeHQ.com

MANASSAS, Va., June 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com, expressed delight at the results of the run-off primaries in South Carolina in which Tea Party populist conservatives decisively defeated establishment Republicans.

"I am so proud of Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, and Trey Gowdy for their great victories. These important races truly have important implications for the future of our nation," Viguerie said.

Congressmen Gresham Barrett and Bob Inglis both supported the $700 Billion Wall Street Bailout. At the time of the 2008 vote, Viguerie predicted that the bailout would become the Panama Canal issue of the 21st century in which the treaty supporters lost 20 Senate seats in the next two elections. "Republicans and Democrats alike who support this monstrosity will face the wrath of the voters," he said at the time.

"In the governor's race and the two congressional races, the candidates associated with the Washington Republican establishment lost and the small government constitutional conservative Tea Party candidates won landside victories," Viguerie said.

"This is alarming news for GOP establishment politicians such as John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, and all closely associated with them. The Tea Party steamroller is rolling big government Republicans right of town," he said.

NOTE TO EDITORS: Richard A. Viguerie pioneered political direct mail and has been called "one of the creators of the modern conservative movement" (The Nation magazine) and one of the "conservatives of the century" (Washington Times). National Catholic Group Issues 2010 Endorsements; Catholic Supporters of Obamacare Targeted
CFA Executive Director: "Should we succeed in ensuring that the majority of Catholic elected leaders actually vote like Catholics, then the whole country will benefit."

Contact: Dr. Kevin Roberts, Catholic Families for America, 512-686-3125

WASHINGTON, June 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- Today, on the feast day of the organization's patron saints, St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, Catholic Families for America PAC issued its endorsements in more than 30 U.S. House races and in 12 U.S. Senate races. The organization is one of the largest groups of lay Catholics in the nation, and the only group of conservative Catholics to do so.

"For all people of faith, not just Roman Catholics, we recognize that our republic is at a crossroads," said Dr. Kevin Roberts, executive director of the group. "We can continue the politics of self-promotion, high taxation, and the insidious undermining of the culture of life, or we can get back on the road to virtuous, limited government."

Roberts also commented that his organization is purposefully targeting Catholic members of Congress who voted for pro-abortion Obamacare. He said, "Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, who the Church honors today, provide poignant examples for modern-day Catholics in fighting apostasy and government corruption."

All of the endorsed candidates fit with CFA's key policy objectives, which include preservation of the sanctity of life, pro-family tax policies, traditional marriage, and education reform. Candidates need not be Catholic in order to secure the organization's endorsement. The list of candidates can be found at the group's website (www.catholicfamiliesusa.org).

Catholic Families for America is building state and local chapters across the country, to better facilitate what it calls its Catholic-Get-Out-The-Vote (CGOTV) efforts. CFA has offices in Austin, Texas, and Washington, D.C.

GAO Report on Planned Parenthood Reveals Startling Discrepancy

Contact: Katie Walker, American Life League, 540-659-4942

WASHINGTON, June 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- "American Life League's STOP Planned Parenthood project analyzed a new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office on federal tax money funneled into Planned Parenthood," announced American Life League President Judie Brown.

According to the GAO report, Planned Parenthood Federation of America audits show the organization spent only $657.1 million between 2002 and 2008 from federal government grants and programs when the abortion behemoth's annual reports show it took in $2 billion from government grants and programs during the same time period.

"That leaves $1.3 billion unaccounted for. That's not pocket change," said STOPP national director Rita Diller. "Why the discrepancy? These numbers don't add up and from an organization with a track record like Planned Parenthood's, the American people deserve an explanation."

The report was requested by 31 U.S. senators and representatives. It is the first of its kind since the 2001 figures released by the GAO in 2003. STOPP notes that Planned Parenthood has other sources of government funding - state and local - and that the GAO report for 2001 shows that PPFA expenditures of federal money accounted for 79 percent of its government income. The new report shows PPFA expenditures of federal money comprising an average of only 32 percent of its government income from 2002 through 2008.

"It is simply not believable such a large amount of its funding is from local and state sources," Diller said

Additionally, in just two weeks, Planned Parenthood will complete its 2009-2010 fiscal year. Yet it still has not released its annual report for its 2008-2009 fiscal year.

"So breaking down the situation," Diller said, "At a time when the majority of Americans consider themselves pro-life, Planned Parenthood rakes in over two billion of our tax dollars, inconsistently reports how they spent our tax money and then admits to killing 1,803,302 preborn babies between 2002 and 2008 alone."

"A growing number of Americans are fed up. It's time to defund Planned Parenthood."

American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. SBA List Candidate Fund Endorses Incumbent Pro-Life Women

Dannenfelser: "We are proud to put our support, once again, behind these faithful pro-life women leaders who have laid the groundwork for more to join their ranks."

Contact: Kerry Brown, Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, 703-470-1926, kbrown@sba-list.org

WASHINGTON, June 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its support of candidates Marsha Blackburn (TN-07), Virginia Foxx (NC-05), Cynthia Lummis (WY-AL), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18 ) and Jean Schmidt (OH-02). SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said of the endorsements:

"Supporting these faithful pro-life leaders was an easy decision. Each one of them stands as an example of an authentic, pro-life woman leader who knows that the rights of one are not built on the broken backs of another. We will need their continued leadership in the months ahead as we fight abortion subsidization in the health care reform law and the recent attempt to legalize abortion on military bases."

The SBA List Candidate Fund previously endorsed Blackburn, Foxx, Lummis, McMorris Rodgers, Ros-Lehtinen and Schmidt for their respective seats in 2008.

In the November general elections, Marsha Blackburn will face Greg Rabidoux in TN-07, Virginia Foxx will see Bill Kennedy in NC-05, Cynthia Lummis will meet David Wendt in the WY-AL election, Cathy McMorris Rodgers will face the Democratic primary winner in WA-05, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will see Rolando Banciella in FL-18 and Jean Schmidt will face Surya Yalamanchili in OH-02.

"These women have been leading the fight to reclaim an authentic feminism that includes a pro-life platform. We are proud to put our support, once again, behind these faithful pro-life women leaders who have laid the groundwork for more to join their ranks," Dannenfelser said.

The Susan B. Anthony List plans to spend $6 million on voter education in the midterm elections, including $3 million on key Senate races, $1 million in bundled direct candidate contributions from SBA List members and $1 million on its plan to target "pro-life" Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care bill. The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of over 280,000 Americans, residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.

Internet Evangelist Offers $10,000 Challenge to Maddow

The leader of LivePrayer.com, an internet ministry that has over 2.4 million subscribers worldwide reading his Daily Devotional, has made a $10,000 offer to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow to produce the Hawaiian long-form birth certificate of President Barack Obama.

Contact: Bill Keller, LivePrayer.com, 727-420-7005

ST PETERSBURG, Fla., June 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- Bill Keller who is seen daily on Comcast's MyTV8 has issued a $10,000 challenge to MSNBC host Rachel Maddow to produce the Hawaiian long-form birth certificate of President Barack Obama. Late last year, Keller was hired to produce and host an infomercial that aired in markets around the country which simply asked the question, where was President Obama really born? Maddow used her MSNBC program to mock and demean Keller and those who simply are asking that the President produce his long-form birth certificate. Keller contacted Maddow's producers and offered to appear with Maddow on her program, but she declined his offer.

Keller stated, "Maddow acts like she is a journalist, when in fact, all she does each night is act as a press agent for the President and his administration. If she wants to be a journalist, go use the cast resources of NBC/General Electric and produce a copy of the official Hawaiian long form birth certificate of President Obama. If she can do that, I will be happy to give her $10,000."

Keller goes on, "I am not interested in the Certificate of Live Birth the President has produced, since anyone can get that with a phone call. Also, the newspaper birth announcements came from the ordering of the Certificate of Live Birth. All I, or anyone interested has ever asked, is for the President to produce the same document anyone can produce if they are born in the United States. That is an official long form birth certificate showing the name of the hospital he was born in, the attending physician, and all other pertinent information a real birth certificate contains."

Keller concludes, "Why the President has spent over $1 million in legal fees to keep anyone from seeing his official Hawaiian birth certificate, or any of his school records, including his writings, makes no sense. If Maddow wants to be a real journalist, instead of a shill for the administration, than do the job of a journalist and go get President Obama's official Hawaiian long form birth certificate and make $10,000 in the process!"

MANASSAS, Va., June 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- FedUp PAC announced it is endorsing Nikki Haley for governor in South Carolina and Mike Lee for U.S. senator in Utah in the June 22 run-off Republican primaries.

"In Nikki Haley and Mike Lee, we have two strong conservatives who the Republican establishment would prefer defeated," said Richard A. Viguerie, founder and Chairman of FedUp PAC.

"Americans understand that the path to losing our freedoms, economic strength, and military security was paved by establishment Republicans. We are now insisting on electing small-government constitutional conservatives who will shake things up," Viguerie said.

FedUp PAC is dedicated to the defense of the constitutional conservatism, the promotion of small, limited government, and the election of "boat-rocking" conservatives.
