Extortion and Misconduct by Tennessee Officials Continues, as Dad is Jailed After Submitting Evidence that He Over Paid Child Support
by Staff
May 26, 2010
TELLICO PLAINS, Tenn., (christiansunite.com) -- On May 6, 2010 Scott Morgan was arrested by Sergeant John Acuff of the Monroe County Sherriff's Department. A cash only bond was set at $15,480.46.
Mr. Morgan's former wife Deborah Morgan Everett and ACLU Affiliate attorney Peter Alliman prompted the warrant for Mr. Morgan's arrest on March 31, 2010 in another on going scheme to extort money from Mr. Morgan, this time in the amount of $15,480.46.
Mr. Morgan has been incarcerated in the Monroe County Sheriffs Department since May 6. Monroe County Sheriff, Bill Bivins has obstructed Mr. Morgan's access to his Christian bible and from receiving his underwear and socks from family members. Sheriff Bivins has unconstitutionally ordered that Mr. Morgan pay a sum of cash to the sheriffs department in order to receive underwear, socks and other basic necessities. Mr. Morgan's family members are reporting that the conditions Mr. Morgan is under are unlawful and a blatant violation of his rights. Any county or state government which detains an individual is required to fully sustain and provide basic needs without cost to that individual, regardless of their ability to pay. This includes medical, dental and religious special needs treatment under International Human Rights and Civil Rights Laws for fair treatment. The law does not support behavior from public officials where their intent through speculation embarrasses, ridicules and causes hardship to another as appears to be clearly evident in the case of Mr. Morgan.
Mr. Alliman, a civil rights ACLU affiliate attorney is not concerned about violating Mr. Morgan's civil rights. In fact, Mr. Alliman has a past history of knowingly influencing and encouraging other members of the Tennessee Bar Association to participate in unethical behavior which outwardly and maliciously discriminates, slanders and attacks faith based Christians, such as Mr. Morgan.
In September, 2008, Mr. Alliman was formally charged before congress with 29 counts of misconduct along with 14 other bar members relating to obstruction of justice. Title 18 U.S.C. Section 242 makes it a crime for a person acting under color of any law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.
According to affidavits, state and court records, Mr. Alliman's accomplice Deborah Morgan Everett, has an extensive past and current history of forgery, using aliases, committing bank and food stamp fraud, extortion, infidelity, illegal drug use and addiction, corrupting minors and making false police reports.
Monroe County, Tennessee public officials seem to have a long history of conspiring in corruption with unlawful disregard to their oath to office, the people of Monroe County, Tennessee and both the state and national constitutions.
Every American Citizen is endowed with an inherent right and responsibility to hold public officials accountable. For further information visit:
