Jesus, remember me... Luke 23:42

I got this via email today - author unknown - it's cute and sad at the same time.  (You may have seen it before.)

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd..
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Judgenot,

How true!

I read this quote by Karl Marx recently, dated 1848. The "roots" of public education have been wicked for a long time.

"The education of all children from the moment that they can get along without a mother's care, shall be in state institutions at state expense."

The communists in Russia had a saying that went something like this: "Give us your children until they are twelve, and we will have them for a lifetime."

The breakdown of our public schools started long before 1963 when prayer was taken out. It started long before Darwinism.

Back to your poem though......the words penned, describe a nation that has turned it's back on Jesus Christ.

 :(Indeed, sad....
Its amazing to me, you can learn every other religion in school, every cult & theory on creation, you can learn about homosexuality & Lesbian lifestyles being "perfectly" ok, you can learn by grade 5 what condoms are & how to use them, you can learn every foul, deceitful, sin ridden thing in school, but you CANNOT learn about Christ, The love of Jesus, Salvation, Etc......Sad & SIck @ the same time!

John 3:17 for he came not into the world to condemn the world, but that the world thru him might be saved! Rom 8:1 there is therefore no con-
demnation to those who are in
christ Jesus...
