Hi

I am a very new Christian and am seeking some advice and info please regarding Cindy Jacobs the "prophet" Theres alot of her stuff in a church I am looking into (havent joined but am deciding whether to or not) and I ve read some disturbing stuff about her online, about her prophecies and extra biblical teachings. If anyone knows anything about her can you please let me know?

My early discernment is that Cindy Jacobs is a false prophet what do you think?

I also seem to notice ALOT of "born again" christian have like a PHD in spiritual warfare and christian occult yet lack many of the fruits of the spirit. This brings my mind to Matthew 7:22. Its a hard situation to be in because as soon as you raise this your told not to judge but at some point shouldnt this be considered ?

Thanks

James,

A prophet of GOD is never wrong. God does not make mistakes. If the person has ever been off track, the prophecies were not of God.  We are to judge we are to judge a rightious judgment.. Be learly of  one who clambers  DONT JUDGE.

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Sorta like in the case your speaking of .... Judge this persons words and actions  against the scripture.  Before  any christian picks up the banner of another  READ THE WORD of GOD.  Seems to me from your own words you have doubts i would suggest you listen to them.

James,

I don't know who  Cindy Jacobs is ,but a rule of thumb to follow is this:

A "prophet" of God will be 100% correct. The thing that is spoken will come to pass.

The thing spoken, will line up with the word of God. There is no "revelation" beyond the word of God.

To be on the safe side.....be diligent in your Bible study. Hide God's Word in your heart. When a "new" prophecy is spoken, you will know whether this thing be true or false.

Beware of false prophets!

Well i researched Cindy Jacobs and found out alot about her.
Many prophecies didnt happen and alot of what is taught is extra biblical relying on her own "experiences" with God etc.

Some pretty extreme stuff like a world wide revival is going to happen, aswell as some really werid stuff like all the gold and oil in the world should belong to the body of christ!!! Teaching that Gods Church should be wealthy beyond measure.

Actually it is a form of prophecy being fullfilled, but not her words but prophecy regarding the end of the age. Money features alot in 1 Timothy 6:5. Bible itself says that anyone who sees the Lord as a means to  become wealthy and rich is perverse. So a major conflict there. You cant love the world and God!

thanks for your input
God Bless

James,

The prosperity gospel is a false gospel, birthed in the very pitts of hell. I also refer to it as  "blab it and grab it". How does this "gospel" coincide with the gospel of take up your cross and follow Christ. It simply doesn't.

It sounds like you've already come to the proper conclusion, that the "gospel"  Cindy Jacobs is promoting is not of the Lord.
