I suppose this is true.  But HF radios can bounce signals off the upper atmosphere and reach clear around the world to.  And best part of that is, theres no long distance charges  Wink

Thats right!  Its called an autopatch.  Of course this relies on a stationary repeater somewhere to connect you to a phone line.   And you still have to pick up the pizza...lol

The hams sound pretty neat. To be able to talk to someone around the world. I always hear about them, but I don't know much about them still.
