I am a born again Christian, and for many years believed in the reality of the "Rapture". However, after years of careful Bible study, research and prayer, I'm not so
sure if the rapture is actually Biblical.

All are welcome to to join me for a RESPECTFUL, thoughtful discussion.

Thanks!!

Hello ParadigmShift,

I will not argue with you over whether the rapture is pre-, mid, or post trib. It is an argument that does nothing for the unity of the Church nor for the edification of anyone. However to say that the rapture does not happen at all is to completely ignore what scripture says. It is to call God a liar. The word rapture means to be caught up and we are told in several places in scripture that we will be caught up into the clouds to be with Jesus. It is quite clearly written leaving no doubt as to it's meaning and no doubt as to whether it will happen.

Simply, I agree with what Pastor Roger said, and I consider what you are pushing to be false teaching. There are numerous, highly detailed threads on the forum about this topic. The Rapture is simply a Bible Fact that is beyond debate, so I suggest that you start over and study your Bible. There won't be any attempts to call God a liar here, so I hope that you take the hint.

Hello Hisvessel1,

It's ParadigmShift questioning the Rapture - not me. I've never questioned the Rapture, and I've written many posts on this subject over the years. As I stated, I consider the Rapture to be a Bible Fact - without question and beyond debate. Further, I think that the Rapture could be soon. There are signs around the world that this Age of Grace MAY be nearing the end.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  51  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  55  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18  13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

ParadigmShift,

It is easy to see that you have no idea what you are talking about and are seriously confused. Even those that believe that Christians will go through the tribulation period also believe in the Rapture but it is then called a post-tribulation rapture. There are many that will disagree as to when the rapture will take place, before the tribulation, half way through it or after the tribulation at the second coming. Which ever it is we can all rest assured that there will indeed be a Rapture because Jesus has told us it is so. To say other wise is indeed calling God a liar.

Your false teachings on this will not be allowed here for that reason your post has been removed.
