Having spent a considerable amount of time reading some of the topics posted here, i decided to register so that i could pass along a thought or two. First of all, It is obvious to me that my  Lord Jesus Christ is exhalted and praised here, and it is exciting to be amongst fellow believers amen? I could absolutely run wide open with all of the thoughts going through my head concerning some of the posts i've read, but perhaps in due time. From an uneducated simple minded individual, i may not be able to add much theological content to the discussions however, practical real life applications is my interest because that is what i live, so i may jump in out of nowhere!
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am John... I belong to My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and He belongs to me. Oh what a wonderful savior! I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior somewhere in the year 1994, If you read my testimony you would understand why i can't recall the day, BUT my God is a God of the moment and i will never forget the moment!

I look forward to sharing.... I look forward to learning.

Hello John,

WELCOME!

I'm Tom and one of the resident grandpas. We're happy to have you with us, and I look forward to having fellowship with you. I like your user name "Hymn1st", and I catch the significance. Jesus Christ is also the center and first in my life. I give thanks for this every day.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Thank You bro. Tom, I appreciate the welcome and looking forward to the fellowship
my wife gave me the username some time ago and speaks to me of personal admonition
The significance of my username is twofold,
1. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he        might have the preeminence.
Colossians 1:18

2. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colossians 3:16

Easier said than done i know, but  He is worthy!

My user name reflects a rather plain food of the South, otherwise known as cow peas. By the way, I like mine with a little bit of bacon and fresh cornbread.

We're getting ready for another winter storm that's about to hit us. We're not quite over the last one yet, but we're not complaining.
