Here's some reasons why I like Saph...
1. He's my brother in Christ! May not always agree, but if God has accepted him, then I do too!
2. He likes fantasy authors. Me too!
3. He like Lord of the Rings. Me too!
4. He has a very pessimistic outlook on life. Me too! (Sometimes)
Why do you guys like Saph?

You’ve heard the old Will Rogers saying ‘I never met a man I didn’t like’ – well Ol’ Will (God rest his sole) and I think a lot alike. Only I can change a few words around and it reads, “I never didn’t like a man I’ve never met,” which is also a good philosophy. I’ve never met Sapphire, but I like him because he adds a youthful dimension to c-unite. And anything with too few dimensions is just ‘plain’. I guess I could have messed up by creating a thread that singled out only about a dozen of the 1172 members of this forum. The members I singled out are those who I have had either direct interaction with or who’s postings I have followed with interest. To the other 1160 of you – if Jesus loves you I do to – so I suppose that means I love each and everyone of you. Even young Sapph!

Why do I like him? Let me count the ways.... ;)
1. He's sharp and keeps me on my toes! 2. He's got a wonderful heart behind that facade of cynicism! 3. He's not easily swayed by public opinion! 4. His dry sense of humor keeps me ROFL! 5. He's extremely intelligent! 6. He's got depth which is rare in a teen ('teen' being 13-19)! 7. He's actually polite! 8. He's honest! 9. He's well-read! 10. He's not a sycophant!
Okay, enough for now.....

Guys, guys, have you learned NOTHING? I do appreciate the effort, but really, if I don't like threads directed solely at one person, what makes you think I'd feel differently about it being directed at ME? I mean, I don't want to come off as arrogant or anything...

I mean, I don't want to come off as arrogant or anything... Too late, you younger whipper-snapper. Which brings up a good question... Exactly WHAT IS a whipper-snapper? ?

I've always heard that the best way to avoid foot-in-mouth disease is to keep one's mouth closed. Excuse me - I must logout and go to the doctor to get my foot removed from my mouth...

Well, you're coming off as incredibly humble, for you are protesting to all this positive attention. Which, of course is a quality we all like. Who doesn't love a person who says it like it is. The sense of humor is wonderful. Just a likeability that can't be broken down into another characterisitc-just a really awsome likeability. An easy conversationalist. And, a regular who also has a very cool name. I give Sapph five stars. *****

psssst - ollie - a sycophant is a crazy elephant - but it is politically incorrect to 'label' elephants - so you didn't hear it from me. I'll deny it if you tell anyone I told you...

I propose legislation to ban the word “sycophant” and any jokes that come with this pun from the board.
While we are on the topic, did anyone here about those Elephants in India who have been breaking into liquor stills?
