HUMDRUM

         You're finding life is humdrum
         You're finding church a bore
         The thrill you got from serving Him
         Is sadly there no more
         You're going through the motions
         The words you do not mean
         You might as well just disappear
         As though you'd never been.

         Maybe you are holding back
         From giving all you've got
         To He who knows you inside out
         Who's loved you from year dot
         You're sitting on a flaky fence
         The splinters cause you pain
         When are you going to clamber back
         Upon His road again.
