Sometimes lost threads are oldies, but goodies.  Here is a piece of CU history:

A Letter of Jeremiah (or, 6th chapter of Baruch): verse 22-23 "Bats and swallows and birds of all kinds perch on their head and bodies, and cats do the same. From all this you may be sure that they are not gods, so have no fear of them."

Genuine Apocraphal mention of cats! It was in the Septuagint read by the early church! Don't scorn me for revealing truth to you poor sniveling illiterates!

Oklahoma Howdy to Whitehorse,

Thanks, that was very pleasant to read again and have a few chuckles. It brought up a question - where's Alfie? There's another thread somewhere on the forum that Alfie asked folks to try and guess the name of her black cat. It was another fun thread, and the answer of "snowy" for a black cat was a hoot.  By the way, "hoot" is a Southern term for fun. It may even by an Oklahoma term. That's my story and I'm sticking to it until someone proves differently.   Cheesy

Oklahoma Howdy to Willowbirch,

UM?, the thread mentioned "snowy", and there was a guessing game somewhere on the board for the name of a black cat, and the answer was "snowy". It's possible I'm confusing this story with someone else. UM??, maybe it was Forrest. However, my memory is almost perfect for the last 24 hours.   Cool   Lips Sealed
