Brothers and Sisters,

This is an extremely simple extension that does exactly what it says it does. It adds a small and simple day, date, time display on your statusbar. One of the nice things about it is the many ways it can be configured, and it works perfectly. Here's an example of my preferences and my current statusbar display:

Thu - 30/Jul/09 - 22.59

It's also fast and extremely simple to configure. It doesn't get in the way of anything else and it uses almost zero resources. I highly recommend it.

Statusbar Date() uses format specifiers to allow you to display the date/time in your statusbar however you want! You can even mix in regular text with your desired format!

Add-on Features:
-- Displays the current date/time in the statusbar.
-- Left clicking on Statusbar Date() toggles it to contract, only showing the icon in the statusbar. Clicking on it again will cause it to expand once again.
-- Right clicking on Statusbar Date() opens the Options dialog.
-- Middle clicking on Statusbar Date() toggles parts of the format that are enclosed by ( ) to contract/expand. (Version 1.2.0)

Add-on Options:
-- Format the date/time by using a combination of format specifiers and regular text.
-- Change the position of Statusbar Date() on the statusbar.
-- Choose whether or not Statusbar Date() should start expanded when Firefox is launched.
-- Choose whether or not the icon should be hidden when Statusbar Date() is expanded.

I had one not quite as good as this one but lost it when I did an update on Firefox. I like this one even better. It has more flexibility in the settings.

I'm currently using Vista and the newest Firefox - 3.51. There is limited flexibility in the Vista tray, so this little extension gave me everything I want or need. Brother Roger, I'm glad that it did the same for you. If would be nice if this same common sense and flexibility could be used in operating systems.
