Tea parties from sea to shining sea
More than 2,000 tax, Big Government protests in all 50 states

From the Kansas City tea party

WASHINGTON – More than 2,000 tea parties from coast to coast attracted hundreds of thousands tax and Big Government protesters on Independence Day – perhaps the biggest July 4 political event in America since the proclamation of the Declaration of Independence.

From Washington and New York on the East Coast to Los Angeles and Monterey on the West Coast and all points between, Americans had their say yesterday about bailouts, cap-and-trade bills and new federal spending programs that they believe are mortgaging their children's futures and robbing them of personal freedom.

The turnouts that defied traditional July 4 diversions, heat and rain encouraged organizers looking forward to the next scheduled tea party events Sept. 12 in Washington, D.C.

Nearly 5,000 people turned out in Oklahoma City at the state Capitol building. That protest was one of 32 in Oklahoma alone.

In San Antonio, Texas, between 3,000 and 4,000 gathered in intense heat throughout the day at the Rio Cibolo Ranch. Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber," was one of the featured speakers along with Gov. Rick Perry, who became the first elected official to sign the "Contract with the Constitution," a document that espouses 10 principles including limiting the role of the federal government, protecting the right to bear arms and amending the Constitution to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

In Washington, D.C., the center of expanding federal powers, about 2,000 small-government advocates rallied to express their outrage at the trillion-dollar "stimulus" plans.

"They are wasting all of our money," said Sean Albert of Richmond, Va. "They're not running our government like we would run our own checkbooks. When I'm out of money, I stop spending the money."

Hundreds also rallied in Atlanta where event organizer Bob Frady told a crowd, "It's time that we take our country back."

At Miller Park in Marietta, the Cobb Independence Day Tea Party continued yesterday into a second day with more than 2,000 people in attendance.

Some 2,000 people gathered in Morristown, N.J., to mark the nation's birth with and protest the growing size of government. Some signed their name on an oversized version of the Declaration of Independence. Signs in the crowd read: "Save our Constitution" and "America's no longer free."

Another dozen rallies were planned yesterday in New Jersey.

"The truth of the matter is that our government has gone out of control," Vermont attorney Steven Howard told an assembled crowd in Burlington. "We have let loose the leash and now it is running rampant."

In Louisville, Ky., where some 1,500 turned out, Wendy Caswell, president of the local tea party organization, said: "We're definitely for upholding the Constitution, what our forefathers laid out for us, so it was an honor for us to do it on Independence Day."

"We're just trying to teach people about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. A lot of what's going on in Congress wouldn't stand up to the Constitution," said Bernard Hargenrader at the Houma, La., tea party, where some 200 gathered at the downtown county courthouse.

In Huntsville, Ala., a young medical student wore a Barack Obama mask carrying a sign that said: "Do you really want me to make medical decisions on your behalf? Just say no to government-run health care." The Huntsville rally was one of 11 scheduled in that state.

Similar rallies took place in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Albuquerque, N.M.; Bozeman, Mont.; Bloomington, Ill., and Syracuse, N.Y.

At the East Texas tea party in Lukin, organizers gave out the White House telephone number and urged attendees to call Obama and tell him: "We are not happy, and we are working to make Texas free from his legislation."

Texas' former Solicitor General Ted Cruz, told the crowd that America is "facing the single greatest threat to our liberty that we've ever seen. I believe that President Obama was elected because we failed to lead. But I also believe that his greatest legacy as president will be that he inspired a new generation of conservatives to rise up and defend our liberty."

Cruz is running for state attorney general.

"I like to think of Texas as America on steroids," Cruz said. "It is a spirit that says 'give me a horse, a gun and an open plain and I can conquer the world.'"

In Olympia, Wash., about 1,500 turned out for a rally on the Capitol campus. In Hawaii, tea party protesters draped American flags and placards along the Kaahumanu Highway in Kona. In Montgomery, Ala., some 500 protesters gathered at Overlook Park sporting signs that said: "No Obama heath care" and "What would Jefferson do?"

"It is a day when we celebrate the independence of our country and not that it is a democracy, it is a republic," said Pat O'Malley, organizer of the Clearwater, Fla., tea party. "And the powers that be are trying to turn it into a democracy."

Obama was a source of irritation for tea party attendees in Fayetteville, Ark. Joan Phillips carried a sign that read: "Washington: Where's your common sense?" She was not talking about George Washington. She said Obama is trying to make the country socialist.

"He is selling us down the drain," she said. "I decided to get up off my fanny and hold my sign here."

Organizers around the country expressed their delight with turnouts.

In Reno, Nev., organizer Debbie Landis put the crowd at 3,000.

"I was in the middle of a conversation and I turned around and saw all these people – it filled me with joy that this many people care," Landis said. "We're deeply concerned about this administration and previous administrations' frivolous spending. We're afraid what will happen if cap-and-trade [is passed]."

About 300 turned out in Asheville, N.C., where signs read: "When taxes rise, freedom dies" and "Taxation without representation is no 4th of July picnic."

"We felt we couldn't sit back anymore and not say anything," Jan Sherlock said. "We just do not want to go to socialism."

Bill O'Connor, the organizer for the event, came dressed as Patrick Henry.

"We're on our way to declaring independence from an oppressive government," O'Connor said. "The main thing is citizens are going to speak today who have deep concerns about things going on at all levels of the government."

In Lansing, Mich., Joan Fabiano shouted into the microphone: "We are tired of the out-of-control spending, tired of the socialization of our government, tired of the erosion of our personal liberties."

"It's not about the freedom anymore," said Justin Bovee at a rally in Twin Falls, Idaho. "It's about the power. They can get away with tax fraud while we go to prison."

"Don't Tread on Me" flags were in evidence at many of the tea party rallies, including one at Southfork Ranch, Texas. Some in the crowd there wore shirts supporting independence for the state of Texas.

Signs from the WND "tea party store" – including "Where's the birth certificate?" – were in evidence at many rallies.

In Grandville, Mich., Ida Pettibone carried a sign that read: "Give me liberty, don't give me debt."

"To stand for liberty is to stop the growth of government," said Pettibone, 65. "Our government is in so much debt, and we need to stop it."

There were still more rallies in Plantes Ferry Park, Idaho; Starkville, Miss.; Lincoln, Neb.; Nanuet, N.Y.; Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Temecula, Calif.

In Tallahassee, Fla., attorney Pace Allen, organizer of the event, explained: "It is a rally against wasteful, excessive government spending. Excessive bailouts, handouts and entitlements are bankrupting our country."

To the south in Pensacola, about 100 turned out to express fears about socialism and government spending.

"I am tired of the direction the administration is taking the nation," said Greg Sutton, 44. "Socialism does not work. It never has worked. It never will."

More than 2,000 turned out in Yuma, Ariz., where Dan Shooter said: "I think this is a message to Washington. We're coming. We're coming."

At the Phoenix rally, Daniel Medina, 36, said: "We've been talking a lot about the Constitution today. We wanted to exercise our free speech. We're coming together as patriots, not as one political party or another. We're being taxed and taxed and taxed."

"Our children and grandchildren are going to be taxed out of their gourds," said Frank Giordano at the Augusta, Maine, rally. "It's young people that elected Obama. But they don't realize how much they're going to have to pay (in taxes) because of him."

Thomas Tabback, an author and inspirational speaker, told an audience in Quincy, Ill., to remember what the nation's independence is all about.

"This is one of the most important Independence Days in a long time," he said. "There's a huge power grab going on and still, many average Americans out there don't realize how many of our freedoms are at stake."

In Tyler, Texas, Kevin Hard said, "I think what we're really finding here is that all of the people here are united in a cause, and we all understand that we're all on the same page. The number one issue of the day is the out-of-control government spending. If we could harness that in, there (are) a whole lot of other issues that could work themselves out. We're very concerned, especially for our children and grandchildren, the generations to come. We want to leave this a great place just like we had it when we were kids."

Nearly 2,000 turned out in Tyler.

Elected officials were few and far between at the tea parties, but Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb., addressed a crowd of 300 in Omaha, explaining that Democrats "love to tax. They love to spend."

"Taxation is the taking of our freedom," Terry said. "Today, we celebrate the freedoms that are inherent to being an American."

The tea party concept is both a remembrance of the original Boston Tea Party and an acronym that stands for "Taxed enough already." In Wichita Falls, Texas, they brough both ideas together by reading the Declaration of Independence aloud.

"Many people have never read it before, or they read the first two paragraphs then stop," one organizer explained.

In Stafford County, Va., Dylan Stefl held a sign almost as big as he is. It read "7 and already in debt."

"We're banking on his future today," said Pat Stefl, Dylan's father. "And we've had enough of too many taxes."

Some 700 turned out in Altoona, Wis. Organizer Micah Stofferahn said, "It cost us about $1,000 to put on this event. ... If the government would have put it on, it would be $65,000 at least."

Rallies also took place in Memphis, Tenn.; Beaufort, S.C.; Greensboro, Ga., and Odessa, Texas.

About 1,500 turned out in Columbia, S.C., where Republican Sen. Jim DeMint addressed the crowd. In Salina, Kan., several hundred gathered to sing patriotic songs, read the Declaration of Independence and sound off against taxes and national health care.

In Joplin, Mo., hundreds listened to state Rep. Jim Guest say, "I believe we have a government that is out of control and ignoring the wishes of the people."

Guest has sponsored a resolution that reclaims Missouri's sovereignty under the U.S. Constitution's 10th Amendment and would have told the federal government to "cease and desist" all mandates "beyond the scope of ... constitutionally delegated powers." The resolution passed in the House but stalled in a Senate committee.

"Our 10th Amendment protection is slowly slipping away," Guest told the crowd Saturday, saying he would raise the resolution again next year and that it would likely enjoy more Senate support the second time around.

Hundreds turned out in Del Rio, Texas, and more than 500 in Norwich, Conn.

But several thousand gathered in Ventura County, Calif., where signs read: "We Are In Hot Water," "One Nation Under God" and "You Can't Fix Stupid, But You Can Vote Them Out." Among the speakers was Ted Baehr, founder of Movieguide, a magazine that analyzes movies from a biblical perspective. Baehr said because of the burden of the growing national debt and higher taxes, the United States was "on the road to serfdom" with a tax burden that would have people working six months a year to cover taxes.

He also said the true national debt was heading toward $56 trillion, most current estimates peg the total at about $11.5 trillion.

Baehr also touched on the new "cap and trade" proposals that would create a system of controlling pollution by setting a cap on total emissions, but also allowing for companies to trade emission credits so that cleaner companies can sell their credits. It would also tax polluters, which could mean the cost would be passed onto consumers.

"It means there will be a carbon tax, so are we going to be taxed for our breathing?" he asked.

Hello Grammyluv,

Sister, you have good tastes in your choices.   Grin

I think there were thousands of tea-parties around the country that they don't even know about. The MSM doesn't want to cover them and let the country know how many are protesting. Instead, they hit the local newspapers, local radio stations, and local television stations. As an example, I know there were MANY just in Oklahoma. I might also add that there were many that didn't get coverage because of LEFT-MEDIA in many places. After all, it might be embarrassing for our so-called government that has run WILD with total disregard for the RULE OF LAW, THE CONSTITUTION, THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE, AND THE WISHES OF THE PEOPLE. Our so-called government is NOT representing the people - RATHER trying to establish TYRANNY OVER THE PEOPLE. They don't UNDERSTAND YET what the PEOPLE will and WILL NOT TOLERATE. They don't seem to REMEMBER the basic concepts of a FREE COUNTRY - GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE!

Patriots wage war on Obama socialism
States line up to 'opt out' of government health care

Citizen protest movements against taxes, deficit spending and wildly escalating federal social welfare programs under President Obama are gaining momentum, despite attempts by the administration and their supporters to ridicule such movements, Jerome Corsi's Red Alert reports.

With a new round of tea party tax protests held during the Independence Day holiday, Arizona has added a new dimension to the revolt against Obama's policies by passing a law designed to opt the state out of any universal health care insurance plan the administration manages to get passed through Congress.

Republican Nancy Barto, state representative in Arizona, has been responsible for advancing though the Arizona legislature a bill that would amend the state constitution so that no resident would be required to participate in any public health care program.

"HCR2014 is proactive and will protect patients' fundamental rights," Barto told the Examiner. "We are a front-line battle state to stop momentum of this powerful government takeover of your health care decisions. Health care by lobbyists thwarts your rights and can be stopped here."

Known as "Arizona's Heath Care Freedom Act," the initiative will be on the 2010 Arizona ballot.

Indiana, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota and Wyoming are all considering similar legislation to opt out of "Obamacare," the current effort by the administration to pass a government-funded universal health care insurance bill.

Meanwhile, tea party organizers are fighting back against Obama administration supporters who derisively used "tea bagging" in reference to certain homosexual practices.

Organizers of the Texas Tea Party invited actress Janeane Garofolo to join them in Texas on July 4 and posted a video of their invitation on YouTube.

Garofalo, an actress on Fox television's drama "24," called tea partiers "a bunch of tea-bagging rednecks," adding "this is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up."

According to the Tenth Amendment Center, at least 70 percent of the states have launched provisions to exert state sovereignty based on the 10th Amendment to the Constitution, which stipulates that "powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited to it by the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

"What we are trying to do is to get the U.S. Congress out of the state's businesses," said Oklahoma Republican State Sen. Randy Brogdon, lead sponsor of the Oklahoma version of the sovereignty bill.

Brogdon is currently running for governor in Oklahoma in 2010.

WND's June 2009 issue of the Whistleblower magazine, entitled "Don't Tread on Me: Rebellion in America's Heartland," also covers the move by several states to exempt guns from federal regulation.

The state of Montana has drawn a land in the sand, challenging the federal government to decide whether guns and ammo made, sold and used in Montana require federal registration.

Following Montana's lead, Utah Rep. Carl Wimmer has prepared a bill that would gain new protections for gun owners by asserting the state's sovereignty under the Ninth and 10th amendments.

WND has reported that Wimmer intends his legislation to exempt from federal gun regulations any Utah resident seeking to own a firearm made in Utah.

"What is clear is that millions of Americans are getting increasingly turned off by the Obama administration's move to increase dramatically the size and control of the federal government," Corsi wrote. "With no end of trillion dollar deficits anywhere in sight under President Obama, average Americans are saying 'no more' to escalating taxes and programs such as 'Obamacare.'"

In writing "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," Corsi predicted that Barack Obama was a Saul Alinsky radical who would rule from the far left, not from the political center.

"With President Obama's rating dropping and the global recession deepening, this is the time we need to fight back by returning to the principles of limited government espoused by our founders," Corsi wrote. "Now is the time to defeat the Obama administration cap-and-trade bill in the Senate and to fight the Obama health care plan in the House."

Before 2009 is over, the Obama administration plans to introduce to Congress yet another version of the "shamnesty" bill, euphemistically packaged as "comprehensive immigration reform," says Corsi.

Having twice defeated the Kennedy-McCain version of that bill, Red Alert believes American patriots will once again reject "guest worker programs" and "pathways to citizenship" on the call to secure U.S. borders and enforce our existing immigration laws.

"The time to save America from Obama socialism is running short," Corsi noted, "but the battle has only just begun."

It appears that the general public is STARTED on EDUCATION for what's happening, and they won't TOLERATE it. It's about time because all of our RIGHTS AND FREEDOM are on the line. If we DEMAND that our LAWS AND CONSTITUTIONS be obeyed and ENFORCED, the socialists and communists will either go to PRISON or HOME - HOME hopefully NOT in this country. Regardless, the general public and the STATES must say NO AND MEAN IT! - NO DEBATE - NO COMPROMISE - END OF STORY - JUST "NO!" ON EVERY ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACT! The Congress and the Senate DO NOT have the power to pass ANY ILLEGAL OR UNCONSTITUTIONAL LEGISLATION. Power has gone to their head, and they have forgotten that the PEOPLE ARE IN CHARGE, and we DEMAND our RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, LAWS ENFORCED, AND CONSTITUTIONS ENFORCED!

Our so-called representatives need to be RUDELY REMINDED that the PEOPLE can put them in PRISON for VIOLATING OUR LAWS, CONSTITUTIONS, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS. In fishing terms, we need to reel them in. In dog owner terms, we need to put them on a short leash and send them to obedience school. If a muzzle is required - SO BE IT! In MONEY terms, we need to cut up their credit cards and take control of the checkbook. It's OUR MONEY, and WE will decide how to spend it. In terms of POWER, our so-called government NEEDS A BURR HAIRCUT and be humbled before their BOSSES - THE PEOPLE!

"The Age Of Despotism" by Chuck Baldwin

This past Independence Day weekend, my friend, LCDR (Retired) Guy Cunningham, delivered an outstanding address here in Pensacola, Florida, in which he said that America is now in "The Age of Perfidy." He went on to say that our country is soon to enter "The Age of Despotism." I candidly confess that I believe the retired Naval officer could be more right than we might want to admit.

Commander Cunningham is no slouch. He was a Green Beret (who served in the same Special Forces company alongside his father and two brothers), an infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division, Navy pilot, mission commander and analyst. He is also the author of the now-famous 29 Palms Survey. His military credentials are unassailable. When Commander Cunningham speaks, people should listen.

Commander Cunningham revealed tremendous insight into the stranglehold that the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) holds over the U.S. military by estimating that "75% of military admirals and generals with two stars or more have been trained by the CFR." He also came to the defense of Michael New, who rightly honored his oath to the Constitution by refusing to submit to the authority, uniform, and military commanders of the United Nations when ordered to do so by his superior officers.

Speaking of the UN, Commander Cunningham rightly assessed the international body to be a sinister organization that threatened the sovereignty and independence of the United States, and from which the US needed to withdraw. He also boldly stated that any and all treaties made with the UN should be immediately annulled.

Commander Cunningham also highlighted the results of his 29 Palms Survey (conducted in 1994), in which more than 20% of those combat-trained Marines surveyed stated that they would fire upon American citizens in order to confiscate their firearms if ordered to do so and, if required, would swear allegiance to the United Nations. Cunningham said he feared that if those same questions were asked of our Marines today, the percentage would be even higher.

It was Commander Cunningham's statement that the United States is on the verge of despotism, however, that really grabbed my attention. If anyone should know the ins and outs of the science of freedom and oppression, it is Commander Cunningham. His research and analysis of history, both American and military, gives him a keen insight into the subject.

In supporting his ominous conclusion, Cunningham noted former President Bill Clinton's introduction of PDD 25 (a Presidential Directive that is still in place), which reportedly authorizes the President to use and declare martial law at any time, for any reason. He reminded us of how the US military has been used several times for action on US soil.

The US military was used directly in the government attack against the Branch Davidians at the private residence of Mount Carmel outside Waco, Texas. The military was stationed outside Los Angeles, California, during the LA riots. The military was used in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The military even patrolled the streets of the tiny town of Geneva, Alabama, after a man went on a short, albeit bloody, shooting spree.

Commander Cunningham also reminded us of how President George W. Bush virtually expunged Posse Comitatus and set the table for despotism and martial law by signing the USA Patriot Act into existence. As a result, we now have an entire Army division assigned to the American homeland, a first in US history. He noted that even FEMA has the authority to declare martial law.

Commander Cunningham also referenced recent Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sponsored reports that refer to pro-life Christians, proponents of the Second Amendment, and supporters of Ron Paul and yours truly (along with many others) as potential terrorists. Such gross mischaracterizations of law-abiding people--based solely on their political views--serves only to reveal the federal government's willingness to both demonize and marginalize people for the purpose of preparing the stage for possible military and police action against them, he said.

The commander said further that his intelligence tells him that there are Muslim terrorists already in the United States who are planning to stage multi-city attacks, perhaps as early as this summer. He also expressed incredulity at the fact that our federal government certainly knows that these Muslim terrorists have been slipping across the southern border of the US for some time and there has been almost no attempt by any Presidential administration to stop them.

Commander Cunningham also expressed the fear that, should another attack occur within our country, the current administration would not hesitate to declare martial law, which would almost certainly include the confiscation of firearms. At that point, he said, America will have entered "The Age of Despotism."

I think it prudent, at this point, to make note of the fact that it was the attempted confiscation of firearms by the British Crown that precipitated the "shot heard 'round the world" and the advent of America's War for Independence. Until then, America's founders were content to use peaceful means to petition British injuries and injustices. But when the Crown moved against their guns, the colonists resisted with violence, and there was no remedy but complete and permanent separation.

If Commander Cunningham's educated prognostications regarding the Obama administration's intentions to confiscate our guns and put us under some sort of despotic rule are accurate, it is incumbent to remember that a British king and a Japanese emperor each "awakened a sleeping giant" within the hearts of the American people by attempting to render us defenseless. If, now, a US President wants to repeat history, all he needs to do is try and bring about "The Age of Despotism," and he will find that the "sleeping giant" is still very much alive and well in the hearts of millions of freedom-loving Americans.

P.S. We will have Commander Cunningham's video address uploaded to my web site soon. Watch for it at

Quote
"The Age Of Despotism" by Chuck Baldwin

Frankly, something like this is becoming easier to believe by the day. I had no idea about the Marines being brainwashed, and this is very disturbing. Is the situation growing this bad? Probably YES. The mind-numbing number of illegal and Unconstitutional acts with no response is INSANE. Who knows what happens from here except GOD? There are many peaceful things left in the play-book to do. The days ahead will require much prayer.

THIS AIN'T NO TEA PARTY
See rebellion at grass roots
Watch congressional greetings at town hall meetings at home

Call it the tea party that never ends.

A rebellion is brewing in home congressional districts of incumbent Democrats evidenced by the reaction at several town hall meetings.

Members are being forced to suspend meetings with their constituents, screaming protesters are being dragged out of events by police and officials are being greeted by protest signs and chants.

Rep. Tim Bishop, D-N.Y., has called off further events.

"I had felt they would be pointless," he said. "There is no point in meeting with my constituents and [to] listen to them and have them listen to you if what is basically an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation."

In Bishop's case, his decision came on the heels of a June 22 event he held in Setauket, N.Y., in which protesters dominated the meeting by shouting criticisms at the congressman for his positions on energy policy, health care and the bailout of the auto industry.

Police had to be called to escort the 59-year-old Democrat to his car safely.

Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., got an earful, too – especially on the health-care issue.

It's not just members of the House who are getting lectured. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., heard from a very well-informed veteran – to the enthusiastic applause of all those gathered.

Watch what happened when Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-TX, went out to meet constituents recently.

It seems to be the same all over the country.

At a health care town hall event in Syracuse, N.Y., in July, police were called in to restore order, and at least one heckler was taken away by local police. Close to 100 sign-carrying protesters greeted Rep. Allen Boyd, D-Fla., at a late June community college small-business development forum in Panama City, Fla. Last week, Danville, Va., anti-tax tea party activists claimed they were "refused an opportunity" to ask Rep. Thomas Perriello, D-Va., a question at a town hall event and instructed by a plainclothes police officer to leave the property after they attempted to hold up protest signs.

The biggest source of protests are the health-care bill, the $787 billion economic stimulus package and the cap-and-trade legislation. They're also angry about Barack Obama's refusal to release his birth certificate to prove he is a "natural born citizen" and constitutionally eligible to serve in the White House.

Congressional Democrats are anticipating things will only get worse this month when Congress in recess. On Tuesday, Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., who handles incumbent retention duties for House Democrats in addition to chairing the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, met with freshman members to discuss their plans for the month-long August recess.

Some are planning to do their local constituent work by telephone conference calls rather than in-person meetings.

Some Democrats are blaming Republicans and lobbyists for stirring up the hornet's nest.

Brian Smoot, who served as political director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, warned Republicans about engaging in these kinds of ambushes.

"It's a risk that they align themselves with such a small minority in the party ... They risk alienating moderates," he said.

They better take another look over their shoulder. It is not just a small minority party. This group is full of Democrats and Independents as well as republicans. The group is over a half million in size and growing by the thousands daily.

It didn't take the Republicans to "stir up this hornet's nest"....the people are smarter than government gives us credit for.  They are the idiots.  Greedy, foolish, idiots.

This is a riot and almost funny. It's their actions as communists that has folks upset. They just need to ask themselves one question:  Is what I'm attempting to do legal and Constitutional? The answer will be "NO!", so they should stop if they have any common sense. If not, they should face CRIMINAL CHARGES AND REMOVAL FROM OFFICE. Many so-called representatives should learn about the RULE OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION FROM PRISON! Obviously, they should be barred from ever holding public office again and have all benefits they voted in for themselves CANCELED!
