Greetings,

I'm Tom. I'm new to this awesome website. I'll try and give a short synopsis about me. !'m 45. I was raised Lutheran, but became atheist when I was 17. In the 90's I became interested in the occult for a few years, but then got out of that. I would always argue with Christians on many web sites and even with close friends who were Christians. But I found that I was always loosing the arguments. I finally realised that my Christian friends were actually right and everything I had believed was completely 100% wrong. A friend invited me to church one day and it just knocked my socks off. I physically felt the Love of God welcome me to Him. I instantly joined his church and started taking Bible classes and prayer groups. I started attending church on Sundays (both services) and even the Monday evening service. My life had completely turned around. I went through my house and removed anything of an unGodly nature like rock and pop music CD's, secular movies, science books and anything anti-Christian and took it all to the city dump. I gave up alcohol, porn, swearing, and anything God frowns on.

I completely purged my former liberal athiest self and became a Born Again, extremely conservative, student of God. Life has never felt more wonderful. I'm particularly interested in organizations that work towards putting God back into government, schools, and every nook and cranny of American life.  I'd love to see a cross on the American flag one day.

Anyway. It's an honor to be on this group. I look forward to many interesting conversations. At least, when I can with my busy life.

God bless,
Tom

Hello Tom,

Welcome to Christians Unite forums. I am really happy to hear that you got out of that horrible lifestyle and have returned to God. I look forward to seeing more of your posts and in having some wonderful Christian fellowship with you.

Thank you for your welcome. I'm very blessed to be here. And "horrible lifestyle" is actually putting it mildly. It's not a good life when one can just do anything they want to. There needs to be limits, rules and laws. In fact, I totally agree with the rules of this web site. Like not allowing any blasphemous user ID's here. I wish America had the same laws. I hope, somehow, that liberals could be outlawed one day.

My greatest accomplishment as a Christian is that I managed to witness to a friend who was extremely agnostic liberal and identified as a lesb*n.  It took a long time, but she has since came back to God and given up that destructive lifestyle and is currently seeing a very Christian man.  Those are the things I want to do. I love witnessing. It takes a long time, but it's so important.

Again. Thank you for your welcome.

Yes, witnessing is very important. Time grows short with each passing minute of each passing day. Our time here on earth is very short so it is important for all to hear the word and to come to Him now without delay.
