2009 SGM Fan Awards Top Five Finalists Announcedby Staff

KENNEDY, AL, (christiansunite.com) -- Christian Voice Magazine and SGM FanFair have announced the top nominees for the 2009 SGM Fan Awards as voted by gospel music fans and enthusiasts.
Nominations have been tallied and the final ballot listing the top five finalists in 21 categories is now available in the February issue of the Christian Voice Magazine and online at
www.sgmfanfair.com.
Texas-based quartet Paul's Journey dominates this year's ballot with nine nominations including 'Favorite Male Quartet', 'Favorite Song' (Grace Is Never Far), 'Favorite Album' (Transition), 'Favorite Male Vocalist' (Randall Garland), 'Favorite Lead' (Ryan Napier), 'Favorite Baritone' (Chad Stephenson), 'Favorite Bass' (Rod Treme), 'Favorite Tenor' (Randall Garland), and 'Young Excelling Individual' (Ryan Napier).
Gaither Vocal Band, The Dove Brothers, Karen Peck & New River, Greater Vision, The Booth Brothers, The Isaacs and The Hoppers each garnered four nominations. Closely following with three nominations each are The Triumphant Quartet, The Perrys, Singing Echoes, Talley Trio, The Nelons, and Austins Bridge.
Other nominations include Ernie Haase & Signature Sound ('Favorite Male Quartet' and 'Favorite DVD'), Aaron & Amanda Crabb ('Favorite Duet'), Jason Crabb ('Favorite Male Vocalist'), Collingsworth Family ('New Excelling Artist'), and LuLu Roman ('Naomi Sego Living Legend Award').

Established in 2005 and based solely on fan votes, the purpose of the SGM Fan Awards is to honor the legends, acknowledge accomplishments and recognize fan favorites within the southern gospel music genre.
