Ephesians 5:8 says, "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:  walk as children of light:  For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and and truth:  Proving what is aceptable unto the Lord."

How we likve is more important than what we say.  We can witness with our mouths which is great, but if our walk does not match our talk, then our witness for Him is vain!

Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light so shine before men, that others may see your good works and gliorify your Father whichis in heaven."

Amen and Amen!

So true.  People do watch Christians to see what they are really like.  If our walk and talk add up to the same thing, it makes an impression on people.  Not that we are doing that for our glory, but for the Lord's glory, and to be able to reach others for Christ.

Like Dwight Moody said, the world needs to see more people walking in the shoes of Christ.

People are more apt to open up and ask for prayers and talk with us about the Lord when they see we are true and loving Christians.

...walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph. 4:1-3

Amen! I very much agree with this. Our lives are the biggest testimonies that we have and it is the biggest evangelical tool that we can use. As a result of our testimony, we are able to break the powers of darkness because of God's goodness and the fact the Christ has already had the victory.

However, I do believe the we ought to live our lives by wanting to live in righteousness, not so that we can evangelise but so that we can get closer to God. Moreover, so that we can live the life that God has intended for us - that needs restoring, because of the sin that corrupted our hearts and minds.

God Bless
