I just saw X-Men 2. It is one of the greatest movies of all time. It's up there with Mission: Impossible. I just saw it, and I'm seeing it again tonight.

SEE IT NOW.

No, seriously, I wasn't a big fan of the first X-Men either, but X2 is SO much better. I mean, it's just like...WHOA. See it in the cheap theaters, then. Just SEE IT. It's so incredible...

Everyone that I've talked to that hated the first one still loved the second one.

Anyone who didn't like the first X-men is a tart.  Mission impossible was not anything special so now I'm all worried that X-men 2 won't be good.  Thanks Jap_emp

I don't know, their was something missing. It seemed like the sub-plots over shadowed the main plotline to much. ANd their where WAY to many sub-plots!

Cy/Wolv fight over Jean Grey
Rouge and Iceman relationship
Pyro's entry into the Dark side
Wolv's origin
Finding Nightcrawler

Just to name a few. The writers when to heavy on the sub-plots, cause the movie lose its general Focus. Other then that, it was an enjoyable movie. Not at all sitmulating, but entertianing.

Finding Nightcrawler
Pyro's entry into the Dark side

I can see you were hard-pressed to come up with sub-plots. Those two take up maybe five minutes, each, in which you actually realize that it's happening.

And all the other's tie into the rest of the story in one way or another, except maybe Iceman/Rogue's relationship. But you need something like that.

I guess you just never read any of the comic books because there were always a lot of subplots.  The only "main" plot is the constant battle between the mutants and the humans that hate them.  It leaves plenty of options to continue a story and expand move on or even go back.  From my memories of the comic books that's how they always were.

I loved it because the X-Men are just awsome.  I don't care for "super hero's" in general but the X-Men are just plain cool.

No, I loved the Comic books, and the Cartoon. But this is a movie. Comics and Toons, they have plenty of issues/episodes to resolve most sub-plots. In movies, they have at most, 3-4 movies to settle everything! This was a 2 hours movie, with material enough for at least 2 seasons of a TV show! Finding Nightcrawler, the whole deal with Nightcrawler, only 5 minutes? It was intertwined in the entire moive. Hardly a minor part of the movie.

Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, I just think it was to unfocused. For people who are not fans of the X-Men, the movie would go over their head! I guess you can say it is your average Comic book movie. Fun for the fan, but it could have been better.
