Festus The Roman Biblical name of the procurator of Judea who refused to bow to the pressure of the Jews who wanted him to condemn Paul to death for preaching of Jesus Christ. The name means "festive."

Ham

Ham was the youngest of Noah's three sons. His brothers were Shem and Japheth. Ham, along with his parents, his brothers and their wives, were on the Ark during the Great Flood. Ham was the father of Cush, Mizraim, Put and Canaan. One of the descendents of Ham's son Cush is Nimrod, who became the first of the world's kings. Ham's descendents spread abroad in many lands and nations, with many languages (Genesis 10:20). It is believed that most of Ham's descendents settled in Africa.

Hello mjm54, Welcome to Christians Unite forums.

Kish

Kish was the father of Saul (1 Chronicles 12:1). He sent Saul on a mission to find some strayed donkeys. It was during this trip Saul met up with Samuel and was anointed as the new King of Israel. Kish was the son of Abiel, a Benjaminite.

Back to our game:

Ladan

Ladan was an ancestor of Joshua. It's interesting during Bible Studies to see why genealogies are mentioned in the Holy Bible. They were used for various things, and some even for the Promises of GOD.

1 Chronicles 7:26-27 ESV  26  Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,  27  Nun his son, Joshua his son.

"M"    is next.

Merab

Merab was the oldest daughter of King Saul. Saul had offered to give her to any man who would kill Goliath (1 Samuel 17:25). But when David killed Goliath, Saul changed his mind, and David ended up marrying Michal, Saul's younger daughter. Saul gave Merab to a man named Adriel, and she bore him five sons. Merab means "increase."

and of course N is next.

Nehemiah

Nehemiah was a Jewish Patriot and Governor of Judea. There are many questions about the details of his life. Little is written about him except for the Bible, so reading Nehemiah will tell you just about all there is to know about Nehemiah. Some is written about Nehemiah in non-Canonical books, but the questions remain. Nehemiah is an interesting character of the Bible. Nehemiah 2:3 indicates that he might have been in the royal line of Judah.

Nehemiah 1:1 ESV  The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah. Now it happened in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Susa the capital,
