'Internet should be nationalized as a public utility' to combat global warming skepticism

'Internet should be nationalized as a public utility' to combat global warming skepticism – Australian Herald Sun - October 28, 2008

Excerpt: British journalism lecturer and warming alarmist Alex Lockwood says sceptical bloggers need bringing into line, and Lockwood tells a journalism seminar of some options: There is clearly a need for research into the ways in which climate scepticism online is free to contest scientific fact. But there is enough here already to put forward some of the ideas in circulation.

One of the founders of the Internet, Vint Cerf, and lead for Google’s Internet for Everyone project, made a recent suggestion that the Internet should be nationalised as a public utility. As tech policy blogger Jim Harper argues, ‘giving power over the Internet to well-heeled interests and self-interested politicians’ is, and I quote, ‘a bad idea.’ Or in the UK every new online publication could be required to register with the recently announced Internet watchdog.

America stands for free speech, or at least that is what we are told. We are already seeing our freedoms being stomped on and removed one by one. We have seen in this election season where many that claim to be for free speech that are actively trying to shut down anyone with opposing views. They use tactics such as name calling, trying to shout over their opponent, telling lies not only about the subject but also about the individual. There is the bill that keeps coming up in Congress called the "Fairness Doctrine" that is anything but fair. We now see people, primarily democrats, that are resorting to intimidation as was witnessed after "Joe the Plumber" asked a simple question and as a result has had his private life investigated.

These things are simply going to get worse if we do not take action on this now. It won't be long before Christians will not be allowed to speak on their beliefs, to witness to others, to even repeat anything from scriptures. This is the agenda of socialism/communism (which ever one you prefer to call it, it's the same).

The argument comes here that Jesus promoted socialism. The difference between Jesus' form of socialism and those of Obama is that Jesus promoted a form of voluntary socialism, not one that is forced on everyone by the government. Government forced socialism becomes oppressive. It makes everyone poor except the elite few making the rules.

I also hear "It can't be done without the people." We see differently than that in the states such as the action that was taken in California when the government there ruled against the wishes of the people that was displayed in a state election just recently. It doesn't take long for such to take place. Hitler moved his government into full communism in just a mere two months. With Obama as president together with Pelosi and Reid it could move just as quickly if not more so and it could very well become irreversible.

This is just one of the many reasons that Christians should not vote for Obama. Obama's record on state funded abortion, same sex marriage, indoctrination of innocent children as young as 5 yrs old and much more is of concern for Christians. For a Christian it is totally wrong to vote for a person that supports these things which the Bible speaks so strongly against. In fact I will take it a step further ... A person cannot be a true Christian and still support these things as to do so is an insurrection against God.
