Tennessee Judge Neglects Sworn Duty, Enters Guilty Plea and Threatens Law Abiding Citizen

by Staff
September 17, 2008

ATHENS, Tenn., (christiansunite.com) -- The Tennessee Constitution, Article X, Section 1, provides that every person chosen for any office of trust must take an oath to "support the Constitution of the State and of the United States, and an oath of office."

City Judge Donald B. Reid violated his oath to office and betrayed the public trust when George Raudenbush appeared before Judge Donald Reid stating the matter had been sent to the grand jury for investigation. The judge's immediate response in a loud voice was "Guilty!" Mr. Raudenbush stated he had not entered any plea. "I'm gonna enter a plea for ya of guilty" replied Judge Reid, "If its not paid within 10 days, this matter will be sent to the state."

Mr. Raudenbush's rights were violated when he was denied due process under the 14th amendment of having a jury investigate accusations made against him and the right to face his accusers. Mr. Raudenbush never asked Judge Reid to represent him, thus the judge was practicing law from the bench when he entered a plea for Mr. Raudenbush, U.S.C. Title 18 SEC 242.

What really makes this story interesting is that Mr. Raudenbush has appealed another of Judge Reid's decisions back in 2005 involving the misconduct of corrupt police officials in Englewood, Tennessee. It just so happens that the city of Athens also has a long history of police corruption and embezzlement of public funds in its ranks. The common factor here is that Judge Reid sets on the bench of both of these two cities which are embroiled in state and federal investigations of police and public corruption and embezzlement.

"It's very interesting to see how corrupt public officials respond after confronted with truth about their activities. Either way, the truth always comes out no matter what the response is", A farmer always reaps what he sow, States Mr. Raudenbush.

The contact person above, George Raudenbush, is a spokesman for Christian Citizens against Corruption, a state representative for F.I.J.A., Fully Informed Juries Association, and National Missions Coordinator for Appalachian Youth Missions.

Every American citizen is endowed with an inherent right and responsibility to hold public officials accountable. For further information visit: www.tnccc.com.
