JESUS FITS

            Years ago, if I had a need
            Then I would put it first
            And everything was secondary
            Until I quenched my thirst
            The latest Hi Fi, CD, etc
            Was bought without a care
            But still my life was empty
            Cause Jesus wasn't there.

            Selfish was my second name
            I mattered most to me
            And I was happy for a while
            But never really free
            Then came the day I met my Lord
            He filled that gaping hole
            That I had blocked with useless things
            For now He was my goal.

            So if you're lonely, sad, depressed
            And nothing seems to work
            Ask The Lord into your mess
            He's glad to light your murk
            You will find the constant need
            To fill your life with bits
            Will be replaced by peacefulness
            Cause only Jesus fits.
