Statement of Human Life International on the Death of Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujilloby Staff

FRONT ROYAL, Virginia, (christiansunite.com) -- The Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer, STL, president of Human Life International, (HLI) issued the following statement today on the death of Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family:
"Today we mourn the loss of a great friend and leader in the cause of life and support of the family. Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo was a great champion of the unborn child and family life.
"His Eminence was a great friend of HLI. We collaborated with him in translation and publication of the Lexicon of Ambiguous and Debatable Terms Regarding Family Life and Ethical Questions, the World Meeting of Families in Manila and have distributed his document on 'Family Values v. Safe Sex' on all five continents of the world.
"As we pray confidently for his eternal rest we also look forward to his fervent intercession from on high as we in the Church Militant on earth continue the struggle for the sacredness of human life and the related issues Cardinal Trujillo cared so deeply about and fought so hard for."
