for us who believe. We are the righteousness of God in Him.

"If any be in Christ he is a new creation." (2 Cor 5:17)

Well, we know it was not our bodies or minds that God created anew. I weighed the same, looked the same, and my I.Q. remained at 150 (kidding).

So, what was this new creation? This blessed me and I hope does the same for you. Here is what God did- "Put on the new man, which after God, is created in RIGHTEOUSNESS and true HOLINESS." (Eph 4:24)

I am going to have to meditate this to fully understand it. Perhaps some of you can share?

"As He is so are we in this world." We are ONE with the Lord right now.

Oklahoma Howdy to Aw,

Brother, I have several thoughts about the old man compared to the new man.

The old man walks in darkness, seeks the things of the world, and sin reigns.

The new man walks in the light, seeks the things of God, and Jesus reigns.

The new man discovers that real riches are not of this world. The new man learns quickly that the fruits of the Spirit are more precious than silver or gold.

Thanks Brother - nice thread. My last thought was man being more than skin and bones. Man has a soul in desperate need of a Saviour. Peace and joy in the soul can only come from accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. All treasures are in HIM.

Life in the darkness is condemnation and death.

Life in the light is redemption and salvation unto eternal life with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Thanks be unto God for HIS unspeakable GIFT!

In Christ,
Tom

Every believer is a child of God, an heir of God, a joint-heir with Christ, a king-priest, a saint, and "an habitation of God through the Spirit" (Eph. 2:21).

God sees each one of us as righteous as Christ.  Therefore every time God addresses us He says "Grace and Peace to you!" What a glorious privilege it is to know that our sins have been forgiven and we are "perfect" in God's eyes!

All the blessings of God, all the promises of God, and all the riches of God therefore belong to each and every child of God!

What is the purpose of all these blessings from God?  "That in the ages to come He might shew the EXCEEDING RICHES OF HIS GRACE in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus" (Eph. 2:7) and that "WE SHOULD BE TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY, who first trusted in Christ" (Eph.1:12).

Our response to such infinite grace has to be heartfelt worship, thanksgiving, praise, and love to Him who first loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

Hey gang, I came across this that I think helps.

"He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit." (1 Cor 6:17) The ONE is HEIS which can mean SINGULAR; to the EXCLUSION of any other.

So, whatsoever is true of Jesus is also true of us. If it is our spirits, then our spirit man is never worried, always has joy and peace, never is depressed, full of love and power, etc., etc.

I was thinking- how do we let the Spirit dominate? I know it has to be by  faith, but any ideas as to WHAT God's will is in this area?

Another "SEED." "Put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." (Col 3:10)

Our spirit man is already renewed and 1 John 2:20 confirms that we know all things. Wish I had known this when I was taking that math course!
