My hub and i served in the US Navy, we both went to Desert Storm in 1990. i can't tell you how overjoyed i was to hear this this morning, i started to cry! This is the best Christmas present ever for us. Especially since my older bro is over there, and is not sure if he will be home for the birth of his first child (in beginning of March). My husband's uncle is also over there too. So it will be nice to have them home, hopefully soon.

I simultaneously pray for him and about him. I do wish him to be saved, but God is a just God as well as merciful. And this guy has murdered countless people for not reason at all. This cannot be ignored.

General Noriega the former dictator of Nicaragua I understand accepted the Lord.

So God can save even the vilest of the vile.

In the case of Sadaam, it is doubtful he will seek the God of heaven, more likely the god of the koran, nevertheless the Lord commands us to pray for our enemies, and love them.

It is something we should do, If we Love the Lord.

Yup, i was thinking that today. i hope that someone where he is can tell him the Truth. he will be in solitary confinement i am sure, so it would have to be a guard/soldier where ever he ends up. My mom has been saying we need to pray for him for a long time, but people don't want to hear it. We also need to pray that those who gaurd him not be swayed by power or greed, that they don't think about leaking vital info about him that could cause an escape attempt, ect. that is what concerns me also, given that the US forces have soldiers becoming muslims with out the government even knowing it, (like the marine who threw a grenade at his own troops). But you are right, he needs a lot of prayer so that he doesn't have to go to hell for eternity.

If even that. I mean, he was killing those who call on the same false God he was, because they didn't agree with his twisted verse of the Koran! Sad Thank God for men like Bush, who protect the freedom of all, so they may one day live to hear to the word of the true God!

We're to love our enemies, but nowhere in the Bible does it say we are to deny justice to the oppressed. In fact, the Bible promises God's judgment on those who do this. You have to remember, this huy is a murderer. Where does Jesus say to let murderers off the hook?

On the bright side, the liberals haven’t attacked Bush since then. It looks like France and rest of the "Chirac Clique" has decided to help us out a little, too. Haha, looking like someone is scared Saddam will talk...

Heehee! That's terrible! Grin

Tibby, that's an interesting observation. We're all such monsters for hunting this guy down, every inconceivable ill motive, character slams and conspiracy theory...one guy was even saying Bush knew about 9-11 and was remaining silent...then our allies start coming into the light for what they've been doing, and now that he's been caught, everyone is silent. We'll have to see what comesout of this.

Hopeandfaith,

Welcome to the forums. Many thanks to you and family for the contributions you have made to this country, and to the world. The US GI has set many a captive free.
