No Condemnation in Him

I thought this was an encouraging article so I wanted to share.
In Christ,
Grammyluv
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Surgeon with a mission:
to make the evolution myth extinct
Philip Bell and Tim Matthews interview Vij Sodera

Dr Vij Sodera is the author of the book, One Small Speck to Man,1 the result of fourteen years of research. Impressed with this, Philip Bell wrote a teaching review article for the Journal of Creation.2 More recently, Philip and Tim met Dr Sodera at his home on England’s south coast where, together with his wife Margaret (a qualified nurse), he runs a private Minor Surgery clinic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vij is holding a 12-week-old spider monkey fetus which was stillborn. Evolution theory states that this monkey is our distant cousin and that we have a common ancestry with sea-squirts. In contrast, in his book, Vij shows that the fossil and biological evidence confirms that humans have always been humans and that we are not modified apes.
Vij Sodera was fascinated by biology from a young age. Born in India, he has lived in Britain since the age of four and has always enjoyed painting and drawing animals—a few of these are illustrations in his recent book.3 He first encountered evolutionary teaching in school and again during his human anatomy studies at medical school, but it made little scientific sense to him. Only later did Vij begin to address the issues that had always interested him.

‘The more stones I overturned in the biological realm, the more complicated I saw things to be. An organism, when you look at it under the microscope, is so horrendously complicated. I found more and more evidence that living organisms could not have arisen by chance—there was design in everything I looked at.

‘If you look at bird anatomy in detail, you find that there are data which show categorically that dinosaurs could not have evolved into birds. Recently, a fossilized bipedal dinosaur (Scipionyx) was re-analyzed under different frequencies of ultraviolet light so that various internal organs stood out—the colon, the liver, the trachea and the rectum. Since a bird has air sacs in its abdomen and its pectoral area,4 the organs in those areas are pushed forwards rather than sitting against the spine. However, the form of Scipionyx was typically reptilian—it had no air sacs and its internal organs were positioned adjacent to the spine. A careful look at the unique bird lung shows that a step-wise change from reptilian to bird lung is impossible.5 And the idea that via modifications of a few frayed scales, a dinosaur could take to the air is total nonsense. That fits in with Genesis where God made animals of different and separate kinds. Dinosaurs, whether they were small and bipedal or like the huge Brachiosaurus, were totally different animals from birds and other reptiles.’

Our faith is built on a secure foundation of the Bible’s revelation, evidence and reasoning

Because he wanted to produce a book that dealt purely with the scientific evidence, Vij’s latest book does not contain overt references to the Bible. We asked him how he personally understood Genesis 1–11. ‘Where do we come from? The Bible says that God spoke everything into existence, and that makes perfect sense. Creation means there must be a Creator, and the Creator of the Bible wants to have a relationship with us and wants to be known to us. God says in His Word that He created the land animals and human beings on the sixth day. This is not blind faith because it fits in with what we observe scientifically. Our faith is built on a secure foundation of the Bible’s revelation, evidence and reasoning. Romans 1:20 says that you see the nature of God in His creation. It also says that ‘ever since the creation … His deity has been perceived’. Thus, human intellect had to be there right from the beginning.’

Here Dr Sodera is about to dissect a 30-year-old emu that died of natural causes. The lung anatomy of an emu is exactly the same as that of flying birds. The unique structure of the bird lung (which is completely different from amphibians, reptiles and mammals) shows that birds could not have evolved from dinosaurs.
Coming from a Hindu background, Vij’s early exposure to Christianity was through attending a church school. Much later, he attended church with his wife and started asking new questions. He says God spoke to Him through Luke chapter 3 one night: ‘Luke actually starts by defining the time-frame for when these events [surrounding Jesus’ life] were taking place. He categorically defines prominent people alive at that time (Tiberius, Pilate, etc.). Luke wasn’t describing fictional events but historical reality.’ Vij was particularly struck by the fact that Jesus was baptized in obedience to God’s plan: ‘Jesus Himself, God as Man, didn’t ask the question, “Why be baptized?” God the Father—the Creator—makes the rules and when you follow the rules, everything else in the whole universe falls into place. He says, if you trust in Jesus and repent of your sins, you will have eternal life.’

But what would Vij say to those who might retort that this is about faith, not science? ‘I would say that it is both logical and scientific to posit the hypothesis that God created the universe. In order to nullify that hypothesis, a scientist would then have to provide data or work out a thought experiment in order to criticize that thesis and pull it down. If, as we can show, we could not have evolved, then the scientist has to look to another cause to answer, “Well, where do we come from?”

‘There is no logical or scientific explanation other than a Cause which is outside the universe as we know it.6 Therefore it’s entirely logical and scientific to say that God created us. Then you have to define who God is, and the only valid candidate for the Creator is found in the Bible.’

Vij’s book, ‘One Small Speck to Man’, is subtitled ‘the evolution myth’ implying that evolution is a ‘just-so’ story and that evolutionists believe something that they cannot prove—and more importantly, something that is not supported by the evidence. To Vij, this is a crucial point:

Dr Sodera with his wife Margaret and their two daughters, Melanie and Lisa.
‘I wanted to produce a book that was full of scientific, logical arguments coupled with plenty of images to challenge the reader. True scientists should look at all the evidence—even the evidence they don’t like—and accept what it points to. Of course, if people choose to willfully reject God, then it doesn’t matter how much they know—there will be a fatal void in their thinking.

‘If you look at Cytochrome C for instance, an enzyme vital to all life forms, it has 38 amino acids in its sequence which are invariant, so those 38 amino acids must be essential for its function. Therefore, Cytochrome C cannot have arisen step-by-step.’7

We wondered how, as a Christian surgeon, he reacted to the common anti-Creator challenge: If the body is so marvellously designed, why are there many mistakes and things that go wrong?8

‘God made everything perfect in the first place, but as a result of the Fall, disease processes have developed in our bodies and in animal bodies. As a result of the disobedience of man, the whole universe was subject to a curse and decay, resulting in mutations and molecular derangements of all living things, as we see in a lot of human diseases.’

Yet Vij is vexed by the atheist professors who deny obvious design. He commented on Steve Jones, who recently went into a diatribe on BBC Radio (UK) about the allegedly inefficient design of the human eye, saying that its designer would be a ‘pretty rotten’ one9 and mentioned Richard Dawkins who has claimed that it would ‘take only about 10 minutes to exhaust the case for ID.’10 Vij said: ‘Regarding men who reject God, Romans 1:22 declares: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” The debate on origins is not about evolution versus religion but about good science versus bad science.’11

We found the discussion both stimulating and encouraging. Here was a man who recognized that ‘the whole of science starts—and finishes—with a bias’ and was passionate about bringing all the evidence of science and medicine to light, weighing it sensibly and honestly. He had concluded from science, as well as Scripture, that human beings are unique among all life forms on the Earth. We found Dr Sodera to be a man who passionately tackles both his surgery and his science—along with all his other interests—with heart and mind in gear. Likewise with his Christian faith: ‘The Bible says in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, let us reason together.” The God of the Bible doesn’t want us to be ignorant or dim-witted. God wants us to know Him from a position of knowledge, intelligence and wisdom. Human opinions are meaningless unless there is some absolute upon which to gauge the truth of the matter. God, in Ecclesiastes 12:13, says, “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Man’s position is to have a relationship with the God who is our loving Father, and to do things as He—our Creator—has designed them to be done.’

Founder of Creation Museum calls evolution theory racist

The founder of the new Creation Museum in Kentucky says in a new book that Darwin's theory of evolution has fueled racism and genocide.

Ken Ham and co-author Charles Ware, president of Crossroads Bible College in Indianapolis, have written "Darwin's Plantation: Evolution's Racist Roots."

They argue that Darwin's theory puts some races "higher on the evolutionary scale" and others "closer to the apes," fanning the flames of ethnic superiority. Ham writes that "although racism did not begin with Darwinism, Darwin did more than any person to popularize it."

That view is disputed by David Schultz, a biology professor at Nicholls State University in Louisiana, who says Darwin spoke out against slavery and "was not a racist."

The very powerful European political agency, the Council of Europe, is fighting to keep Creationism from being taught in Public Schools

The forty-seven nation Council of Europe, a very powerful European political agency, has condemned all attempts to bring Creationism into Europe's school system saying that the Bible based theories and religious dogma threaten to undercut sound educational practices.

This pronouncement comes from the Council of Europe as creationists are involved in an ambitious effort to bring Creation to Britain and the rest of Europe. An effort led by Ken Ham, the founder of Answers in Genesis, who says that the true history of the earth is told in the Bible, not Darwin's, The Origins of the Species.

The condemnation of the teaching of Creationism in public schools, by the very politically powerful Council of Europe, is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

In an ambitious effort to bring Creationism to all of Europe, led by Ken Ham, founders of Answers in Genesis, and other Bible believing Europeans has been met with the defenders of Darwin and his theory of evolution fighting back.

The Council of Europe, in a report that called the introduction of Creationism into the public classroom as very dangerous, said that these views can subvert children. On the other side of the coin, Creationists in Europe say evolution is a lie and it is being taught in schools as fact leading children in the wrong direction.

This debate between evolutionist and creationist has been going on for over 150 years and will continue until the Creator, Jesus Christ, comes back to earth to settle the debate. By the way, it is because of this debate and those who deny the Biblical account of Creation, that we can know we are quickly approaching the return of Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Peter wrote in II Peter 3 that in the days leading up to the return of Jesus Christ there would be people willfully ignorant, or dumb on purpose who would deny the Second Coming of the Lord as they also deny that the Lord created the heavens, the earth and all that in them is, II Peter 3:3-5.

The Council of Europe's condemnation of Creation being taught in the classroom is indeed a precursor for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Hello GrammyLuv,

THANKS! - That was a great article that I enjoyed.

I doubt that Christians will be here long enough to see the theory of evolution thrown in the trash, but we are getting to see many evolutionists begin to squirm when the TRUTH is revealed.

I don't view my faith in GOD'S Account of HIS CREATION as being blind. I consider it to be informed and quite logical. The lost also consider our faith in JESUS CHRIST to be blind, but I disagree strongly. There is a ton of evidence to consider, and faith in JESUS CHRIST is quite logical. Just one example of LOGIC and EVIDENCE is the HOLY BIBLE. The HOLY BIBLE proves itself countless times and is verified in recorded history. Much of that recorded history was written by non-Christians, so JESUS CHRIST was not and is not a contrived theory. Further, those of us who belong to JESUS CHRIST possess hard evidence of the facts in our hearts.

GOD and the devil are just as REAL as good and evil. The HOLY BIBLE is the ULTIMATE TRUTH from the CREATOR HIMSELF! Scientists can't explain Creation, simply because they aren't GOD. Only the CREATOR - ALMIGHTY GOD - can describe and define HIS Work. The CREATOR told us what HE wants us to know about CREATION in HIS WORD, the HOLY BIBLE. GOD'S WORD is the ultimate measuring device for truth and fiction. It's extremely simple: truth agrees with the HOLY BIBLE and fiction disagrees with the HOLY BIBLE. Being able to discern TRUTH from FICTION is one of the reasons why GOD gave us HIS WORD. It really is just this SIMPLE!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ephesians 1:18-23 NASB I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Muzzled! Facts that contradict evolution face ban
Parents suggest such 'Flat Earth Society' thinking short-sighted

The state of Florida is considering a new science teaching standard that presumes the accuracy of the theory of evolution, much to the consternation of parents and other leaders who say society too often already has been embarrassed by such "Flat Earth Society" thinking.

At issue is a set of standards that will be considered by the state Board of Education that will mandate the teaching of evolution as fact and, essentially, forbid the discussion of facts that may contradict that theory.

"The proposed standards [for evolution] … presume ideas to be facts and leave no opportunity to study them beyond their narrow presentation," Fred Cutting, a retired aerospace engineer, said. He served on the state's Science Standards Framers Committee because of his expertise in biology, specifically species origins and the human genome project, and found the treatment of evolution "very one-sided, bias[ed] and narrow in its final views."

The standards, he said, "are dogmatic and not scientifically neutral. … In the biology standards for evolution that were proposed, there was no room for any critical thinking or criticism of prevailing science theories. Students are not encouraged to do any critical thinking or evaluations within the proposed standards being questioned. The life sciences subcommittee refused to distinguish between what can be observed, tested and objectively verified, on one hand, and what is speculation and/or mere hypothesis on the other."

He said he was trying to promote a curriculum that was even and "would present both the strengths and weaknesses of evolution."

"Those attempts were met with hostility and aggressive opposition," he said. Some other committee members were "very intolerant, aggressive and dogmatic about protecting what appears to be a closely held personal philosophical commitment over what is the best science available to Florida's students."

Pastor Neal Ganzel Jr., of Ormond Beach, Fla., wasn't so restrained in his criticism of the emphasis the new standards place on evolutionary theory.

He called Darwinian science the "reigning" theory of the day but said the committee members "arrogantly assume that this one theory is the final and only model for the explanation of the existence and variety of species…"

"People have made this kind of mistake before," he said. "May I remind us all that Alchemy was once the ruling theory of science? Newton and Galileo gave us one authoritative understanding of time, then came Einstein and relativity. The human family has been embarrassed many times by versions of the Flat Earth Society," he said.

"What we have here, in effect, [is] the same kind of situation that faced Galileo the scientist in 1633, and John Scopes the high school teacher in 1925. The educational standards and politics of their day plunged them into terrible crises of conscience, professional harassment, public humiliation, termination of employment, and even trial for religious heresy. This is what inevitably happens when a particular scientific theory or religious doctrine utilizes the coercive powers of government as a means of advancing its influence," he said.

John Stemberger, chief of the Florida Family Policy Council, told WND the "Neaderthals" are fighting hard to prevent the introduction of information into public schools that would contradict their belief in evolution.

"It's apparent that evolution has become almost like one of the prongs of the Apostles' Creed for the secular humanists. They guard it as if they were guarding a doctrinal truth," he said. "They're not open to discussion and debate and examination of evidence."

The statement triggering the protests would be mandated for all schools, teachers and students in Florida if the state board adopts the standards in a vote scheduled Feb. 19. It says, "Evolution is the fundamental concept underlying all of biology and is supported by multiple forms of scientific evidence."

That, Stemberger said, leaves those open to scientific debate "in the position that Galileo was in, when he was trying to establish an order of the day and come against the Flat Earth Society."

Stemberger and others have assembled a campaign to try to influence the state board to reject the recommended standards, or modify them.

"Members of the coalition stressed that they are not opposing the inclusion of evolution in the science curriculum, but are opposing an orchestrated attempt to censor relevant scientific evidence regarding evolution from Florida's school children," the group's announcement said.

"If science is anything, it must be a search for the reality of the physical world we live in," Stemberger said. "We think kids should learn about evolution, but they should learn it is a theory with evidences of both its strengths and weaknesses."

The committee said although comments from the public have been allowed at several public hearings, "that input was largely ignored by the committee and all communication now to the seven voting members of the State Board of Education regarding this issue is being filtered and redirected."

WND asked for a comment from the communications office of the state board, but when a woman called back she said she was not a spokeswoman.

But those who advocate for allowing students to ask questions about evolution, and challenge the assumptions on which it is based, posted a list on their website of hundreds of internationally recognized experts and professionals in their various scientific fields who agree with the statement: "We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged."

"These revisions," added Ganzel, "will also blind the Florida student to any other interpretive viewpoint than the Darwinian Theory. Our standards should make sure the student knows and loves the scientific process, and is encouraged to pursue, in an unfettered way, science as an exciting, changing profession. Students should not be predisposed to only one scientific theory."

Parent Kim Kendall, formerly an air traffic controller and now a homemaker, said her frustration from having such standards considered was surpassed only by the fact state officials apparently do not want even to hear concerns.

"I have devoted weeks and weeks to just trying to be heard but I have been met with nothing but frustration and disappointment. There have been public hearings that were abruptly canceled; there were no press releases issued for the hearings that were scheduled – or for the canceled hearings, the computerized survey for public comment was too complicated… The multiple attempts by all of us to meet personally with members of the Board of Education have been totally unanswered," she said.

"It is simply remarkable that the very people who are making this decision are refusing to hear directly from the people whose children's lives and educations are being affected by these standards."

The Jacksonville Times-Union reported that school boards in the northeastern part of the state are objecting collectively, endorsing resolutions that urge the state to back down from the new standards promoting "evolution," not the "theory" of evolution.

Nassau Supt. John Ruis said the theory of evolution has many holes, and having the state present it as an undisputed fact "is certainly contrary to the beliefs of many people, including myself."

How to present such information should be left to local districts, said Clay Supt. David Owens. "I believe in the separation of church and state, but I also believe there is important information available on both sides of [evolution]. To present it in just one way is wrong."

The Orlando Sentinel reported that more than 10,000 people have logged onto the state website to denounce, or praise, the science blueprint.

The newspaper's own forum on the issue had collected nearly 1,000 comments, ranging from Woody Smith's endorsement of evolution: "Evolution by natural selection is an established PRINCIPLE of science – the fact that it is still called a 'theory' seems to imply to some ignorant people that it is somehow in doubt. … It is supported by the fossil record. It has been observed in the laboratory. It has been observed in nature. It has been supported by advances in genetic science. NO evidence whatsoever has ever been discovered to contradict it."

But Bob W. followed with a different perspective.

"Evolution has never qualified as anything more than a theory. The theory caters to secular thought and the presupposition that man is the highest order of all beings. But the problem is that none of what the theory promotes has ever been observed, much less proved. No transitional forms, no new species and no new anything. … Evolution is such a mass of mumbo (sixty billon years ago) jumbo (the mountain turned upside down), that most folks taught this stuff still have no idea of what it is. They have to replay their Jurassic Park DVD to refresh their memory. Think of the markets that feed off this nonsense and folk's pocketbooks. Well, gotta go. Two Yugos just wrecked outside my window and I want to see the new Caddies that resulted – that's evolution."

DARWINIAN SISTINE CHAPEL COMING to the London Natural History Museum declares
spokesperson on UK Radio 4, 11 February 2008. The project plans to paint a
museum ceiling with art inspired by Charles Darwin. Even though they have
publically stated The NHM was designed by Sir Richard Owen, an opponent of
Darwin, to show the glory of creation, the NHM is taking the position that it
was time to put things right and a ceiling dedicated to Darwin was one way of
doing it. Sir Richard Owen stated about Darwin: 'But, as we have before been led
to remark, most of Mr Darwin's statements elude, by their vagueness and
incompleteness, the test of Natural History facts.'

ED.COM. Ever want to see a prophecy fulfilled as you watch? Then remember almost
2000 yrs ago the Apostle Peter wrote that in the last days men would wilfully
deny creation, the flood etc (2 Peter 3:4 ff). The NHM is entering such a public
stage of wilful truth denial. Sadly their project should not be compared to
Michael Angelo's CREATIONIST SISTINE CHAPEL, but rather labelled a DARWINIAN
CISTERN CHAPEL where people will worship the creature rather than the Creator.

Yes, grammyluv great article. Smiley

Tom, you make some excellent points - there is loads of corroborating evidence for the scriptures as a whole, and overwealming corroboration both scientific, archaeological and historical.
The reality is it's actually evolution science which depends on blind faith.

Here's an interesting e-mail I received yesterday...

Primordial Soup for the Soul
Worried about morality or the afterlife? No need to worry, this book will show how Darwinism is the perfect antidote to those nagging superstitions. A few inorganic chemicals and lots of time and just add water! Mmm mmm good!

I'm a Monkey---You're a Monkey
The author reminds us that we are all equal in Darwin's eyes. You may be better at dancing to the organ grinder, and I might be better at typing Shakespear Sonnets at random ad infinitum; but let's extend an opposable thumbed hand to one another in friendship. After all, we were all evolved here for no reason together.

Men are from Mars---Women are from Europa
Francis Crick shows that the reason why men and women seem different is because their seeds were originally sent here on space ships from two different planets.
This book is not quite finished though, the first chapter explaining how those seeds got on those other planets is still being written.

Grin   Grin  Hello Brother John, I started laughing at number one, and I think this one says it all. Not one shred of evidence exists that this is possible, and this is with armies of scientists and modern, high-tech laboratories. This is really the foundation for the theory of evolution, and it isn't possible. The best so-called evidence in the form of fossils involves a lengthy list of frauds and outright lies. Further, the scientific community already knows about these frauds and lies. It just isn't healthy for one's career to admit. Those who have come out of the closet with the truth have been shunned, and great effort has been expended to ruin their professional careers. So, it takes a very brave scientist to tell the truth. Telling the truth about Al Gore's myth of global warming would be tiny in scope compared to telling the truth about the biggest scientific FRAUD in history. There is a common thread in many like frauds:  the Rightful GLORY of GOD is removed and given to man! The devil can't stand seeing GOD get the GLORY for anything.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Something is wrong with our recent history of Antarctica. Evolutinist wisdom insists that the continent has been ice-covered for over 15 million years. But now there has been found pollen and the remains of roots and stems of plants in an area stretching some 1300 kilometers along the Transantarctic Mountains. The Antarctic wood is so recent that it floats and burns with ease.

It is postulated that a shrub-like forest grew in Antarctica as recently as 4,000 years ago. These deposits of fresh-looking wood do suggest that trees recently grew only 400 miles from the South Pole or even closer. Also of interest is the fact that the sedimentary layers containing the wood have been displaced as much as 3000 meters by faults, indicating recent large-scale geological changes.

Grin   Grin   Grin    I think this is an "OXYMORON" because there isn't any "evolutionist wisdom". It's just an anti-CREATION, anti-GOD collection of garbage that should have been thrown out long ago. People should have known that Darwin was a few fries short of a "Happy Meal".

Florida decides 'evolution as theory' better way to go

In the wake of public outcry, the Florida State Board of Education has voted by a margin of 4-to-3 to teach evolution as theory rather than fact.

The Florida State Board of Education met Tuesday to discuss and vote on new educational standards for the Sunshine State. Part of the new standards included teaching evolution as the basic concept of biology -- essentially labeling evolution as fact rather than theory (see earlier article). But the new science standard drew a substantial public outcry. Angry parents flooded the Board of Education with emails, and some even threatened to pull their children from public school.

Florida State Representative Marti Coley was one of the critics of the new science standard who spoke at Tuesday's debate. "The opposing side keeps saying that we're trying to bring religion [into public school], and we're not," says Coley. "We're simply asking them to acknowledge that this is a theory."

Due to the public outcry and Tuesday's debate, the Florida State Board of Education decided to change the language of the new science standard and label evolution as science theory, and require that it be taught as such. The standards then passed by a margin of 4-to-3.
